Couple of points for the final game. Flintoff needs to come in and bowl even if his ankle is falling off Also Anderson needs to cut his RR down.
Yes they do.Because edges mean the ball just carries on without deviation don't they...
Yes they do.
Oh and don't have Monty misfield at fine leg when the pressure is on, or KP to let a certain 1 go for a 4. Don't have Anderson bowl full tosses outside the stump to Uthappa with no fine leg.
Dead set, if India were lucky to win this, then England were lucky to win game 3 when it was India who threw the game away.
Just stop whinging and enjoy a good series of cricket.
Firstly, only the french cut edge was pure luck. If Anderson bowls a full toss outside off stump, and Uthappa edges it to a vacant third man, that's as much **** bowling as it is lucky. That happens in ODI cricket so much its not even funny. How the hell was game 3 lucky? India were outplayed towards the end and lost comfortably. This time India were outplayed after the opening partnership but towards the end with Prior's general arseness they got numerous lucky boundaries to keep them up with the run rate. They could have gone for singles, twos, dots, wickets. But no they were at least four of them in the late stages alone that went for 4 - that makes a big difference in a game like this.
Lucky, good, whatever, I'll take it. Its 3 all going in to the final game. The very fact that India, in spite of being so poor are still on equal terms means that England are not a very good one-day side and only Prior cannot explain that. May be England are as crap as India. How the hell was game 3 lucky? India were outplayed towards the end and lost comfortably. Bit OTT don't you think?Everything set for final One dayer! Cricket is such a fantastic sport that thrills everyone ( even god)
Congratulations india for winning this great game. So robin uthappa does it for india and the above move paid off.Well done india in the fifth game. The team for the sixth one-dayer would be
Tendulkar
Ganguly
Gambhir
Yuvraj
Dravid
Dhoni
Robin Uthappa
Munaf patel/Agarkar
Zaheer khan
RP Singh
Ramesh powar
I think chawla needs to be dropped atleast for this pressure game. With agarkar/munaf leaking more than 6 runs per over we cannot afford to have another spinner leaking more than 6 runs per over picking up a wicket or so. It might be better to use ganguly-5 overs , sachin and yuvraj-5 overs as fifth bowler. Also karthik needs to be dropped and instead uthappa with his power hitting can be used behind dhoni.
Agreed. I could see god getting excited about a Test, but for a one day?Bit OTT don't you think?
What's OTT BTW?Bit OTT don't you think?
What about Owais Shah being given not out off Powar in the 40th over before he reached 50?How the hell was game 3 lucky? India were outplayed towards the end and lost comfortably. Yes, they did. If Mascarenhas hadn't been lucky on his first six, there wouldn't have been 4 more. Everything evens out, my friend.Another sodding edge for 4. India do not deserve this luck.
Not entirely sure that Anderson bowled that badly at the end. Uthappa used his feet to come down the track and turn what would have been yorkers into full tosses. Credit to the batsman surely. Also, low full tosses are generally difficult to get away for boundaries if the field is right, so again credit to Uthappa for his improvisation. However, he did ride his luck with a number of the edges going for four, but that is cricket.Firstly, only the french cut edge was pure luck. Over The Top.What's OTT BTW?
No he doesn't.Couple of points for the final game. Flintoff needs to come in and bowl even if his ankle is falling off
Mascarenhas was trying to hit it for 6 there, India weren't trying to edge it fine past the donkey for 4. That's the difference.Yes, they did. If Mascarenhas hadn't been lucky on his first six, there wouldn't have been 4 more. Everything evens out, my friend.
agreed on the lbw decision. Its the bad decision.Mascarenhas was trying to hit it for 6 there, India weren't trying to edge it fine past the donkey for 4. That's the difference.
As for Shah's not out there was donkey's lbw that was going over the stumps.
Thats hardly a difference. Intent has zilch to do with getting out. You can't blame luck first and then shift the goalposts to involve intent.Mascarenhas was trying to hit it for 6 there, India weren't trying to edge it fine past the donkey for 4. That's the difference.
