I think that India should have sent in Yuvraj Singh. He is in good form and would have kept the run rate up where it is now.
India selecting all these openers to bat in the middle order is quite silly IMO. It creates this problem.. Gambhir can't really get pushed much further down or you totally waste him, but he's come in against spin/medium pace and looked scratchy anyway - and I dare say the same might happen with Uthappa. Ganguly and Tendulkar are doing a great job at the top of the order so I wouldn't move them - but I certainly wouldn't pick openers in the ODI team to bat in the middle order. Are there any other batsmen actually in the squad? Is Rohit Sharma on tour? He is IIRC, so it's surprising that he's not playing IMO.

Really sad end to Tendulkar's superb knock its the 6th ton he has missed out on in the last 2 months, but due to Tendulkar's injury India has lost some serious momentum.

The fact that India were just mechanical with their batting order even after getting a superb start is idiotic, i mean they could have send either Dhoni or Yuvraj instead of Gambhir to maintain the momentum and finish off England.
EDIT: As i say that Gambhir hits Monty for a 6!

India has been making way to many tactical errors and whoever felt that Indian team doesn't need a coach need to think again.

Big wicket of Tendulkar from Panesar, England have the initiative ?

I thought we might, but Gambhir's picked up the pace again. The RRR's not excessive, and that's before Dravid comes in and does his usual 2-a-ball routine.

All that being said, you have to admire Broad's figures to date, given the carnage elsewhere. It does rather reinforce the point how crazy it was not to give him the new ball at leeds.

Shah bowled quite a bit on a few overseas England A tours - even ended up with some decentish figures in a few one day games. But this over has been exceedingly dire.

Poor Sachin.

Maybe its destiny for him to leave England for the last time with a ton at Lords. Still so shattering to see him get so close after playing beautfully, and then his body not letting him keep going. If its not the umps, its old age lol.

Yuvraj Gone. Dravid needs to play a good innings here. Need a good partnership here so if need be Dhoni and Uthappa can go loose at the end.
