Sorry Craig, missed your post there, probably the best person to answer it. James Vaughan burst onto the scene as the Premiership's youngest ever scorer some years back, but he didn't really get regular first team football until last season.

He's a strong, powerful striker who's not afraid to throw his body about. He's probably not the best in front of goal, but he poses a lot of problems for defenders and compliments the likes of Johnson well.

Now with the arrival of Yakubu, we have four decent strikers (add in Anichebe) and for once don't have to play the same pairing every single week, although I would like to see the Yak and AJ together as much as possible

So out on loan then would be the best thing for him (Vaughan)?

No chance, he's our third best striker. Teams over here don't tend to loan out players like they do on the continent - prefer to give them their opportunities in the first team. Like I said, it's been years (possibly the first time ever, given the advent a larger squads and more substitutes) that Everton have ever had such depth up front. Until Johnson, we never had a consistently good goalscorer, now in Yakubu we have a second, with Vaughan and Anichebe two of the best young strikers in the league.

says you, who thought playing 5-3-2 would be a good idea, quite frankly, england do not have a balanced enough side to play 4-3-3, esspecially when joe cole is badly short of form, besides, with rooney and owen fit they could never be both incorporated into such a system and play to the best of their abilities, lampard and gerrard could not do an adequete job in this system either, very poor idea, the best formation for england is 4-4-2.

As for suggesting Kevin Nolan play for england, just not good enough, his perfomances this season suggest that he is simply a form player, as he has been rank average for the last 8 months or so. Similarly, whilst ashley young is decent enough for aston villa, like stewart downing one feels that he would struggle massively to make the step up to the international level, like so many before him have done.

4-3-3 may cause us even more problems against the likes of Israel, given how little room they gave us on the edge of their area in Tel Aviv. We'd be better off sitting back and giving the more creative players some space, rather than playing further forward (as naturally you would with a 4-3-3) and packing the area.

The big question really is if Torres can continue to impress.....if so, then in Torres, Crouchy, Kuyt and Voronin....the goals will continue to flow for the Reds.

Midfield and defence have been solid for Liverpool under Benitez but it's always been a question of their cutting edge upfront.
