India should spend a lot on his injuries too! ofcourse India dont worry about spending on it but, There will be more news about him in the news channels about his comeback from Injury rather than playing for the country. ( bcoz he is more injury prone)Shane Bond ...... alongwith with a miracle cure for his breakdowns
India would be a different side with him.
Chanderpaul ATM is a hot cake. He is in terrific formChanderpaul
Mohammad Asif >prospect than any of the current Aussie crop, even Hilfenhaus.Mohammad Asif would be the other one, except I think our fast bowling stocks are pretty good already.
Dont you think India ATM needs a bowling allrounder like Flintoff, Pollock ..etc..? Agreed that India should have a raw bowler like Tait. But he must capable of batting too..which would help India balance its composition while preparing the lineup for the match day.India only have one good medium pacer in Zaheer Khan, RP Singh is uninspiring at times and don't get me started on the other three. India would benefit from someone like Shaun Tait to add something raw to the attack and Flintoff to be the fifth bowler who can bat seven.
Indeed. But I think that Matt was saying is that he doesn't like the idea of pushing a decent prospect back to the Pura Cup when there are other weaknesses in the Australian side he would rather try to patch up with a foreign player (opening batsman, spin bowler). More a case of sacrificing one area that can survive in the mean-time so that another area can be strengthened.Mohammad Asif >prospect than any of the current Aussie crop, even Hilfenhaus.
Why? You've already got a decent spin bowler with Danish Kaneria and a pretty solid middle order of Younis and Yousuf at the moment. Surely it would be better to select an opener or wicket keeper-batsman, as those are the areas that Pakistan are currently weak in.murali or Kp for pakistan
You are probably right but India has already struggled (and spent lotof money) on injuries to Balaji, Nehra, Agarkar, Zaheer etc etc. At least between those injuries Bond will get us some wickets without being hammered as well.India should spend a lot on his injuries too! ofcourse India dont worry about spending on it but, There will be more news about him in the news channels about his comeback from Injury rather than playing for the country. The term 'atleast' you used in the sentence explains how badly India needs a genuine quick bowler. Balaji is a good bowler. Is he still in the injury list? You are probably right but India has already struggled (and spent lotof money) on injuries to Balaji, Nehra, Agarkar, Zaheer etc etc. At least between those injuries Bond will get us some wickets without being hammered as well.
He seems to have a problem with his action which results in his breaking down again and again. Efforts to change the action reduce him considerably as an effective bowler. At least thats the word in Indian cricketing circles. The term 'atleast' you used in the sentence explains how badly India needs a genuine quick bowler. Balaji is a good bowler.
