It is in a way, but I also think it has been good to see Bell begin to come of age, Cook show signs of being able to cut it in this format, Chawla bowl well etc. This series has been interesting in that new players are establishing themselves - it's something different to watch and look forward to for the future.
Yep, fair points. Would still love to see a quickfire knock from one of them come series end.

Freddie is embarassing to watch with the bat sometimes. What a waste of talent.

Missed the last wicket when typing the post. Seems like a dreadful shot. Flintoff looked woeful against Chawla as well. Agarkar takes unearned wickets as only he can.

Was a decent delivery but no more, full length and straight and Flintoff with his feet stuck in the crease skews the ball to point.

I mean I never thought Flintoff was a really good player but the last year has really shown him to be so poor technically.

FFS, can this guy (Flintoff) actually bat any more, that was the most atrocious foot movememt I've seen, it was basically a half volley. h ereally does look as though he could get out any ball.
A fact which (a) has been the case for most of this year and (b) has some how escaped the notice of England's management. In this XI, he's actually batting two places too high. Result? Even more pressure on Collingwood, Shah & Bopara.

Yeah - Bopara at 8 with Flintoff at 6 in this situation is utter madness. So was Prior opening, for that matter. I know England want to make better use of powerplays and get some impetus into their innings througout, but they need to rethink their order in situations like this. Bell opening, Shah at 3, Bopara at 6, Prior at 7, Flintoff at 8 would have made much more sense given the total they were chasing.

Powar, you may be fat, can't field, or bat... but by God you can bowl off spin!

Awesome wicket.
