Err no they only need to score 1 more run than the opposition...

(yes I know what he meant, but he's a grade A pillock)

Agarkar back for India....
You can go to bed now... we'll tell you how much England won by in the morning :p
The beauty is I only have to watch the start of the match now to know how it went, if India don't hit 300+ they lost!

Bet he'll have a blinder now that I've laughed at him. 3-4 for 40 anyone? (or 0-1 for 70) either or.

btw, any chance of Dhoni being dropped with Karthik keeping?
I am glad someone suggested that. I doubt if anyone has the guts to do that. It would not be a bad move if they did. Bring in Uthappa as another batsman.

I'm going to reside in here for this match instead of the usual planetcricket thread...just for a change.

Solid opening over from Broad while Tendulkar seems to be getting the short stuff.

I'd support that too. India have enough quality strokeplayers to not have to use a big-hitter. I'd like to see Uthappa and Sharma in personally, perhaps pushing Karthik right down the order.

Nice we got an early wicket as I don't like this team. Playing with only four bowlers means a combination of PC and Bopara will have to share 10 overs and that's always assuming none of the main four get injured or bowl crap. I'd have had Tremlett (who got the big wickets on Monday when Dravid and Sourav were looking worringly well set) instead of Shah - who'll probably score a ton and make me look stupid, Still not all bad...no Mascarenas....

Karthik is looking very uncomfortable out there with England's bounce threatening them back into their crease. Tendulkar is suffering the same problem but to a lesser extent. Broad and Anderson are really showing the importance of pace in the modern game.

22/1 off 5.3...too slow in my opinion.

Well, I like Dhoni but he hasn't yet established himself the 1st keeper ans superior batsman of the two, as far as I'm concerned. Slightly ot here, but it seems Parthiv had a pretty good time on the A tour. The problem ofcourse is now Dhoni is VC, he is relatively untouchable whereas he really should have to still prove himself.

India havent touched 40 in the first ten overs in the series so far. Looks like this match will be no different. The dazzling old firm of Tendulkar and ganguly ??

If India made Karthik keep wickets , which makes eminent sense since he is the better keeper, Dhoni would have to fight for his place as a middle order batsman with Uthappa and Sehwag (when ready to come back) and thats the way it should be.

Hopefully, they will try and phase them out soon because they are just not consistant enough.
