Ervine's pretty poor in my opinion from when I've seen him. He just doesn't seem to have any sort of weapons with the ball (movement, bounce, pace, change of pace etc.) and he's erratic.

If I were a batsman and got out to him I'd be well pissed.
Ervine has a very, very good slower ball. That's about it though. His action and his pace suggest he'd bowl a useful outswinger but his wrist position is horrible so it just doesn't happen.

How dire do Glamorgan want to be? Good ol' Yorkshire have destroyed them tonight, time for them to be relegated to minor counties.

Shameful that they're spending all that cash on the building work for the 2009 Ashes Test when they can't afford a second overseas player, or anyone good for that matter.

He's 17 ffs, his future in the game is anyone's guess.
Hardly, considering he took 14 wickets in a match against Gloucstershire (?) and has basically looked everything and more that a 17 should do, then I see no reason not to label him as a future England wicket-taker.

I'm sorry but a hugely promising start to a career doesn't guarantee anything me thinks...let's leave him for a couple of years eh.

Look at Rashid tbh, had an unbeliavable season last year and has fallen away a tad this season, you don't want somenoe like Rashid playing minor counties cricket when he's 21.

He's averaging 47 with the bat, just under 38 with the ball. To me it just looks like he's played on flatter wickets, he's still contributed strongly. Obviously when you play on flat wickets it'll be bowlers like him that'll suffer statistically the most.

The rain will hardly have helped Rashid as well. He started off really brightly this year IIRC, but has struggled in the damp conditions, whereas last summer he and Lawson thrived in the dry conditions in August.

Yea he was really high on the PCA rankings early on.

Just watching the u19's game on sky. I wouldn't take much notice of the result as the Pakistani team is considerably younger. But theres some good looking talent on show for England. Finn looks an outstanding bowler. Shame Rashid / Harris isn't playing too.

On a side note, i don't think I've seen a worse fielding performance from a team than i saw from the Pakistan side. Pathetic.

I'm watching it now - and surprised to see there's no thread for the tour. Seems rather quaint to see one-day cricket being played in whites, that said Pakistan's batting chasing 314 looks more suited to Test cricket. They've got way behind the clock.
