28 players?? Either way if would take out the garbage 5 in Smith, Neville, Dyer, Brown & Defoe I like McClaren's squad so i'mgoing 2 Wembley next week.

Hopefully the injury crisis eases very soon especially in defense, since with Carragher in temporary retirement & the fact that King, Woodgate & possibly Sir Gary will be out for the crucial Euro qualifying run in. Even with good solid young defenders like Taylor & Dawson I would scream if i heard JT, Rio or Sol get any sort of niggle in the coming months.
8-)

Norwood's on Fire
Because he's a wonderful footballer for my wonderful team, simple as that really. After his third game for us I declared that if we'd had him the previous season (when we finished 3rd) we'd have finished at least 2nd, and therefore gone up. That season though, we were ****e, and he was the only thing that kept us from going down really, it's quite rare to have a 20-goal striker and finish in the bottom six, but we managed it which made me wonder what we'd have done if he'd had decent service. Same sort of thing last season, without Greenacre we'd have finished bottom-half, no doubt.

I haven't been as excited about a winger/centre-forward combination as Shuker/Greenacre since we had Nevin and Aldridge playing for us when I was a kid. They can take us back to the second tier, and that's why I love them both (especially Greenacre). :D

He scored today, btw

Haha yeah i noticed that, that's why i asked. So basically you like him because he's generally the only guy to score goals for Tranmere  :p

Schmichael's son is so much a mini-me of his old man it's uncanny.

Quite petite for a keeper it must be said, which is odd given Schmichael snr was such a beast of a man.

Having watched a game for a change; the lack of Rooney showed up today, I think. City were first on nearly everything inside the area, Vidić' crossbar header aside - United needed a big unit to win the battle.

Pretty fair assessment for mine. Tevez doesn't look too comfortable up on his own, think Saha should play if/when he's fit.

Can't believe I keep occasionally listening to BBC radio coverage of football games. Alan Green is the most abysmal commentator I've ever had the displeasure of listening to. He's worse than the average idiotic drunk you'll find watching the game in a pub.

I don't know why they even bother having a game of football to commentate on, everyone should forget about the game itself, lets just rant about the referee for 2 hours instead.

I can't believe such an incompetent dolt can get anywhere near a job as a commentator on an allegedly professional and international organisation like the BBC.
