Great start by England A at Northampton, currently 100 for 1 after only 16 overs and India won the toss and elected to field. Luke Wright is not out on 56 and his fifty come of thirty odd balls.

Edit- Wright's out.

Luke Wright looks a real talent, especially in limited overs cricket. Another possible option at #7 for England?

Wright likes to make use of the fielding restrictions and its his performances up the order which have caught everyone’s eye, so ideally he could take Bell's slot at three.

That wouldn't be a bad choice actually, but it could possible make the ODI team look a little heavy with bowlers. Speaking of which, how good is his bowling?

Not that good, wouldn't be a wicket taking option but he could be able to send down a few overs alongside Bopara or Collingwood.

It ain't really that good atm tbh. In 4 day cricket it's rare to see him bowl 20 overs, he usually only bowls 5-10 overs in an innings. He was thought of as a bowling allrounder a few years back but it's his batting which is getting all the attention. His first class bowling average is 40.20 with only 43 wickets in 32 matches and he has 51 wickets in 65 List-A matches at an average of 39.43. His bowling has gone backwards quite dramatically in the last few months imo.
