An average of 38 for the series is a neither here nor there. You can't hang him/praise him - the question now is Is he still better than any of his replacements ??

I think so, as he is remodelled is game from a world class attacking batsman to a solid, stickable batsman which is still a better game style than his more flashy replacements - Yuvraj, Gambhir, Sharma etc.

Is there a danger though that he is gettin picked just because he is SRT

This whole series even when he has been in he has lost his aura of if he gets over 30 your going to be chasing leather all day

Haha Indian fans. DOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

You`re already 350 ahead with batting to come. In the better position by a country mile. Be quiet.

CricInfo is dire. "India stumble early after batting again". "India in the ****" a lot more effective IMO.

:laugh::laugh:

Fair call though. Even if they were all out now, you'd still have India to win this.

I still have confidence that India will win this - we should be able to scrounge another 100 runs and the target then is 450 which IMO given the form the English batsman have been in is nigh on impossible
if they survives this session.Otherwise Jimmy&Tremlett will rip off their top order in 15minutes.

Lol, so poor from India. Poor captaincy, worse batting.
AWTA, such an Indian like collapse. *sigh*
As opposed to a typical English collapse? NZ one? Pakistan or WI?

Why is it every team has a reputation of collapsing except Australia? I don't see the difference between the situations when these fall like dominoes, yet everytime its "typical *insert country*.

Example England vs. Australia, Adelaide test.

Haha, so dire.

Seriously though, you'll find that a lot more people will be willing to seriously respond to your posts if you try to use proper spelling and grammar. Apologies if it isn't your first language, but you'd be surprised how much it helps.

Man poor decision by Dravid, but like Dasa said, no need to worry... we're 350 runs ahead.

What we do need to worry about is this stupid rain!

I do, I would have made England follow on, but I'm referring to the overreactions suggesting India still isn't in the box seat in the match etc.
Well yes, India are obviously still in control but they just gave England a huge glimpse of hope in what was otherwise virtually a done deal.

Maybe that's the plan, give England this "huge glimpse of hope" and then get quick wickets ;).

But for now, pray the rain goes away.

Not really a huge glimpse of hope. I am more annoyed rather than worried. I still would be extremely surprised to see India even come close to losing this. Its just irritating, with the rain around, for India to have wasted time batting IMO.
