***Official*** India in England

I'm talking about the fact you carried on after he told you.

Anyway doesn't matter now.

Will India enforce the follow on?
I'm not sure. It's always difficult. As an Aussie I always think back to the Laxman and Dravid Partnership, it really depends if they are happy enough with a draw, or really want to win the match.

Hmm, Pietersen is so overrated, I havn't seen him play one decent innings under pressure for England. He and Collingwood were going so good until he decided to show his egoistic nature and slog ST through the covers on his first bowl. VERY stupid when trying to save a test match at international level.

Possibly the limpest, most spineless innings seen from and England XI for a very long time, judging by the fact that this is supposed to be an absolute road. Last I heard Bell & Collingwood had both passed 50 with the new ball due any time. Surely, well set, on this wicket, they could see it off. Apparently not - both transparently petrified of the new cherry being sent down at anything above 80 mph. Bell, true to my prediction after the last test, managed another 50 to make it difficult to drop him, but yet another Englishman couldn't go on with it.

Dire times for the English cricket side. Whilst it's lovely to think that Fred & Tresco will return in anything like their form from two years ago, it's looking less & less likely and nigh on impossible respectively. The real need is either for this lot to grow up, address their weakneses and start to look like serious test cricketers, or for Moores to grow a spine and send a few of them on their way. That doesn't have to mean a return to the 'cast-of-thousands' approach of the 1980's & 1990's - but nowadays, you do wonder what a centrally contracted player has to do to be dropped. And, you suspect, they know it all too well.

You obviously missed the Ashes winning innings then? or have you tried to wipe it from your memory?!

Wow! I left the house because I had to go to classes when Collingwood fell and 6 wickets were down, and about 25 min of play left. And when I come back I see 9 wickets down and England about to face the follow-on. Great stuff from India, really proud of this team tbh. Tbh, I have never before seen India play with such great team spirit ever before, really promising to see that everyone chipped in and played their part.

I knew England were dire compared to the mighty Indians :p, but this dire... I didn't expect :-O.

Don't worry. If it rains, nobody can use the 1st test rain excuse against India. If it doesn't rain, we'll take it 2-0 and the 1st rain excuse means nothing. Get ready to celebrate.
Yeah I know that, like believe it or not we've pretty much outclassed them this series. But if we win 2-0, if I am correct, we'll take over England for the 2nd best team in the world  in the rankings .

EDIT: Plus it looks way better if we beat them 2-0. Man I wish this was a 4 test series, so we could beat them 3-0 ;).

On another note, I finally had a chance to sit down and watch Sreesanth bowl today and was rather disappointed. He is quite talented and bowled well in (small) patches but I can't see any reliability from him right now. Hopefully Munaf is back for good and can return for the Pakistan tour. Otherwise, we need to make sure Ranadeb Bose or VRV Singh are ready to act as legitimate cover for Sreesanth. For now, I really hope he does well in the second innings ... if it doesn't rain.

Btw that reminds me, I wanted to ask you Akhil. You go to Berkeley University of California for Engineering, right? Was it hard to get in and stuff, I mean it's a pretty prestigious Uni and all.
