Drenthe was mouthing off, diving and just generally whinging whenever he could for the last 25 minutes of that game. Was just dire to watching him at it.

I don't like to take anything away from the man-monster that is VDS, but Chelsea's penalties last night were just woeful.

The only difference between them and at least one of them was literally a foot of difference in height, aside from that it looked near enough the same penalty.

Jose Enrique has signed for Newcastle while Leighton Baines should complete his move to Everton and Mark Bresciano should be announced as a Man City player as well.

Alot of players suddenly wanting to join the premiership which is all good. Hopefully in the coming years it will help for teams outside the big four the create one or two shocks.

Geez City have made some good signings. Bresciano is a great one. Hate to say it, but they may actually have a chance of getting a result against us this year. Die City!

At this rate Chelsea will have no players to play the opening game against Birmingham.

Only 11 foreign players started the very first weekend of the Premiership in 1992, name all of them and which team they played for.

Cantona, Manchester United
Thorstvedt, Tottenham
E Johnsen, Chelsea
Halle, Oldham

Not sure on any others. Not too sure on Johnsen or Thorstvedt either.

Anders Limpar (Arsenal), John Jensen (Arsenal), Andrei Kanchelskis (Manchester United), Peter Schmeichel (Manchester United), Jan Stejskal (Queens Park Rangers), Roland Nilsson (Sheffield Wednesday), Gunnar Halle (Oldham Athletic), Michel Vonk (Manchester City), Eric Cantona (Leeds United), Hans Segers (Wimbledon) and Craig Forrest (Ipswich Town).

EDIT: Cantona was at Leeds for the first weekend of the Premiership, wasn't he? Pretty sure he signed for United in November and unless the season started a lot later at that time, the first weekend he'd have been owned by Leeds.

How about the 4 England Internationals in the 90s whose name both begins and ends with the same letter?

I can only remember 3 of them myself itbt.

Dyer has long-standing knee & shin problems plus an unspecified liver disorder, so £5 million for him would've been great business for yer Geordies.

& that's without touching on his, er, personal issues. I've been told some horrendous stuff by Ipswich supporting friends of mine, but don't wanna libel myself or the site so will say no more.
That's not the sort of thing you should admit to in public tbh
