i doubt all 23 overs will bowled today thou... likely to get very dark soon and batsman will head off. India bat next 5 overs at max and close to 300 as possible and should be able to get in at least 10 overs today.
Laxman really ****ed around in the middle their.
Yuvraj may or may not be a better batsman, he's the better player though. Very good fielder, reasonably handy bowler (good for a team with 4 bowlers, 3 of whom are seamers) and probably a better adjustor to batting situations.
Other than that, we need to have a core of players to take over after the present 32+ brigade and Yuvraj is definitely part of that solution (invaluable in ODIs).

lets see keep playing a old player who keeps on performing below par and past his best or a younster who has a potential to be good in test matches. Yuvraj should come in, he has flaws but with him getting a continues run in the team for once he will be a better bet than Laxman.

Don't mind players being out right now. Attack and if you are out in the process, no problem. Don't waste balls just. We want maximum overs to bowl to England possible while making as many quick runs as feasible.
On Laxman: If he played defensively despite the wishes of the captain, he should be dropped. There are no two ways about it. It doesn't matter if the next best batsman is Yuvraj Singh or Courtney Walsh. If you play despite team wishes selfishly, there should be no place for you in the team. If being a key word there btw obviously.

Yuvraj's bowling most certainly is not good enough to factor into his selection. I don't see what he offers with the ball that Tendulkar, for example, doesn't. As far as fielding goes - well that is something I really shy away from. You don't pick your batsmen based on their fielding or bowling - you pick them based on their batting. If Laxman is a better batsman than Yuvraj, then he should be selected ahead of him (providing of course Yuvraj doesn't suddenly develop deadly bowling skills out of nowhere).
Firstly, I don't think you can say he's definitely part of that at this stage - he's only played a few tests and hasn't really impressed a great deal. Secondly, I think this whole thing regarding phasing a generation out slowly is just a touch paranoid, not to mention, IMO, against the spirit of the game. If your best option for a test match is a 78 year old, and he's available, he should be selected. I really don't care if there are already four 78 year olds in the team and they'll all retire after the next test match, tbh - it's just not that relevant. I can just see someone like Chawla being selected on the basis of "planning for the future" when he's not actually ready for 4 years - and then when he finally is ready to perform at his best, getting dropped for the next not-quite-ready eighteen year old spin sensation. It's just not on IMO, and frankly it's beginning to get on my nerves. Indian supporters need to stop fretting about the imminent retirements of Tendulkar, Ganguly and Laxman and just enjoy them while they are still here. As far as I can see, they're all still better than Yuvraj Singh who seems to have been targeted as the next best option, so they should all still be playing until they don't warrant selection.

Sreesanth, another crappy start. I think Dravid needs to make him do a couple laps to get the extra energy out before his every spell.

Hussain tearing into Sreesanth, rightly. This is the second time he has simply been unable to bowl. Completely unacceptable at this level. Apparently in the nets, he was fooling around and bowling leg spin earlier....

Taufel had a few shockers earlier on IMO, Sachin and Ganguly were both nowhere near being out, and a few other odd ones as well.

Sreesanth will have to realise that test cricket is for men, not kids, regardless of whether you look like Harry Potter while batting. I don't mind him trying to be all agressive with his antics but you have to let your bowling and performance do the talking really in the end.

A guy who can't finish his run up because he didn't practice has no business playing Test cricket...and the damning thing is that the same thing happened in the West Indies. Sort it out son, and not on the 3rd day of an extremely important Test match when your team needs you to bowl.
I am so pissed, I don't remember being this mad since Dhoni played those two shots in Mumbai last year. It is so far from being acceptable that its not even funny and I have lost any respect and sympathy I had for Sreesanth.
