Can someone explain to the cycling ignorants (like myself) what exactly happened with David Millar? did the tire just disconnect from the black part? And what is that stuff, and how is different from the normal tyres?

Levi Leipheimer just completely dominated the time trial. He might have just completely jumped Contador and Cadel for the Yellow Jersey.

wow - Leipheimer pulled out one of the great time-trials there. Contador put in the race of his life as well to hold onto the Yellow jersey. Evans did brilliantly just to stay in second place.

We're going to actually see a live race tomorrow!

Wow, fantastic time trial from the top 3. I was quite surprised, and releaved, that Evans managed to stay ahead of Leipheimer overall after the gap was just 8 seconds with 5km's to go.

All credit to Contador though, whilst there is still 1 stage to go, i can't see him losing the 23 seconds, as i can't see Team DSC letting any sort of breakaway happen, or them allowing Evans an easy run at all the possible time bonuses.

Yeah, you'd think Discovery won't let Contador lose the yellow, but hell, this hasn't been the Tour for things to run smoothly...

So, with only 30 seconds between them, does Leipheimer still sacrifice himself to protect Contador, or does he take what will probably be his best chance to ever win the Tour?

They can't lose by 3 seconds if they crash inside the final sprint because within 3km everyone gets the same time so Cadel's 20 second win bonus would leave him in second by 3 seconds as opposed to Contador and Levi losing by 3

Been a simply sensational tour that's had everything. Drugs, heroics, crashes, dogs, scenery, MOUNTAINS!, Evans and the organiser's even tied it in with my unviersity holidays.

Tour honour says they'll just accept it. But there's always a chance something might happen..

How come they don't challenge the yellow on the last day? I mean, it's a noble thing and all that, but if you're only 20 seconds down, why not do it?

Bit like calling the Melbourne Cup off at the last furlong post and saying "don't challenge the leader".

Still, in a sporting world where everything's so cut-throat, it's a nice throw back to more gentlemanly times.
