Potgieter the next Ponies opening batsmen?
Haha, seriously considering it tbh. He just got out, but after a valiant 3 (34). True captain's innings.

Citizens Erased 5/226
Chanderpaul 98* (152), Mohammed 54 (53), Karthikeyan 43 (70)
Erasmus 2/52, Canning 1/28, Tedstone 1/36

Magical Ponies 107 (30.2)
Terry 40 (43), Farmer 26* (53), Burger 10 (20)
Malik 2/14 (5), Woodward 2/23 (5.1), Gerhard 2/31 (10)

Citizens Erased Magical Ponies
Top Order: superb competent
Middle Order: mediocre strong

Seam Bowling: superb quality
Spin Bowling: proficient proficient
Fielding: feeble woeful
MOTM: Chanderpaul

So annoyed with my batsmen atm.

Great start:

Code:
0.3 W Bardle to Clayton
Clayton gets hit right in front on the back foot. Bardle appeals and the finger goes up in an instant.
EDIT: First over Bardle doesn't take wicket. Watch Kealy take two next over

Code:
End of Over 5: 16-2, runrate=3.20
Bardle 3-0-12-2
Lucas* 2 (17 balls)
Obeysekera 1 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Ellis b. Bardle 7 (FOW: 10/2)

OMG i don't know how we (Lucas) did it but we faced out Bardle 10 with only 3 wickets down. Still got Muralitharan to come after these two, so i guess it game on. Kealy should return in the last 10, so the next 21 overs could make or break this match.

Code:
End of Over 19: 56-3, runrate=2.95
Bardle 10-1-29-3
Quintin* 14 (27 balls)
Lucas 21 (66 balls)

Last Wicket: Obeysekera c. Wanless b. Bardle 1 (FOW: 20/3)

Innings never got going the way i hoped it would. Kealey finished with a 6-fer. Need a pretty gun effort from my bowlers to get us out of this. But i think thats me out of the cup. :(

Code:
End of Over 47: 184-10, runrate=3.91
Kealey 8-2-17-6
Jeithoon* 1 (7 balls)

JAFFNA JETS
End of Over 47: 184-10, runrate=3.91
Kealey 8-2-17-6
Jeithoon* 1 (7 balls)

Bardle 10-1-29-3 and 3 catches.

Code:
End of Over 10: 57-2, runrate=5.70, reqrunrate=3.20 (184-10)
Willetts 5-0-35-0
Kealey* 14 (16 balls)
Snodin 13 (17 balls)

Last Wicket: Warnock c. Clayton b. Jeithoon 24 (FOW: 39/2)
Willetts equals the worst quality bowler ever, can't take wickets and can't keep it tight. Jeithoon kept us in the game, but we needed one more wicket. Maybe i should have bowled him out. But i thought my batsmen would have scored more runs.

I have won the toss and elected to field, its a sunny day, and a green pitch. Simple put, im ****ed unless i can take two early wickets, say first two balls.

For those of you playing along at home, im playing Hakon, and i have a depleted side.

Four Pillars and Poor Fillers have picked Gravey[RESP], Hocking, Hiller, Beaumont, Maynard[MED], Allison, Naylor, Carr, Sicelo, Wikus, Poke.

Well behind unless Wikus can do some of his magic.

1.4 1 Wikus to James
Now I’ve seen everything! A bouncer by a spinner? James plays it away easily down to long leg for a single.

Not the magic i was looking for Wikus, try bowling for wickets.

Code:
3.6 W	Wikus to Virk
There was absolutely no turn on that whatsoever. Goodness knows how Virk didn't pick it. Wikus will hope his mom is recording this at home.
3.5 W	Wikus to James
A mistimed shot from James and a simple catch for Maynard.

I LOVE YOU WIKUS

Now to finish them off

And that's the end of the match. Jamees 999ers won by 8 wickets.
Jaffna Jets 184-10
Jamees 999ers 185-2

Man of the Match:

Kealey 74* (102) and 8.5-2-17-6

Code:
11.1 .	Carr to Porter
Good line, Porter not remotely interested.
Wikus not bowling through, what the ****? Game over.

International Regular
Code:
End of Over 25: 142-4, runrate=5.68
Sicelo	6-0-48-0
Porter*	46 (54 balls)
Herbert	69 (68 balls)
Last Wicket: Crouch c. Carr b. Poke 7 (FOW: 28/4)
Hakon, just so you know, you would have lost if Wikus and Poke bowled through, like they were supposed to.

Bobisback

International Regular
Code:
34.5 6	Naylor to Herbert
Herbert hits that straight out of the ground and through the pub window. They'll have to wipe the beer off the ball before resuming play!
34.2 6	Naylor to Herbert
Up, up and away! Herbert lifted that over the bowler for a six straight down the ground.
34.1 4	Naylor to Herbert
Naylor bangs in a nice, juicy long hop and that's whipped well off the back foot to the mid wicket boundary.
And that's a century for Herbert! Well played indeed Sir!
Classic Naylor.

I dont even think Hocking and Hiller could chase this if they were on fire, so screwed.

Code:
End of Over 35: 219-4, runrate=6.26
Naylor	6-0-54-0
Herbert*	114 (98 balls)
Porter	77 (84 balls)
Last Wicket: Crouch c. Carr b. Poke 7 (FOW: 28/4)
EDIT:

38.4 W Naylor to Herbert
Herbert prods at the ball attempting a defensive shot, but he's nicked it and it's gone sailing into Beaumont's gloves.

That is horrible, i really do feel for Herbert.

Need 289 to win, near impossible. If i set the right orders, this game would probably be over right now :@

Wikus took 6/35(8), Naylor got 2/90(10), Poke 2/37(7.3)

Will watch until Hocking gets out, so probably not long.

Code:
End of Over 10: 52-1, runrate=5.20, reqrunrate=5.93 (288-10)
Scott	5-0-31-0
Hiller*	8 (10 balls)
Hocking	37 (30 balls)
Last Wicket: Gravey Run Out 7 (FOW: 27/1)
The chase is on, but for how long?

EDIT:

10.3 W Tuck to Hiller
Hiller got that shot horribly wrong! It went straight in the air and Crouch would have shot himself if he dropped it!

Good answer

EDIT:

Hockings last 4 games: 59*, 193*, 79*, 62

In the last game he fell when the score was 91.

Anyone else think i rely on him too much?

EDITamillion:

12.2 W Tuck to Beaumont
Simple catch for Porter, but Beaumont looks stunned. He didn't even hit it!

There goes my last glimpse of hope.

Good game Hakon.

Reckon Porter and Maidens would have got us across if Wikus bowled through. Ten overs of Naylor at the death would have been fun.

Top game though. Clearly Hocking was inspired.
