It is just a coincidence then that on a Saturday there were so many English men posting and a huge difference compared to today, another Saturday? :-O Mother of all coincidences!!!!
Well I wasn't around last Saturday TBH, I was just commenting on the general patterns I've observed the last couple of weeks.

As I say, though - Howgate I'm pretty sure would be on here if he wasn't on holiday.

Yeah the clank made it seem abit worse than it was.
Was a nice clank, but also hit him in a nice place - right on the bit where it didn't do any real damage, either by forcing the grille into his face or striking the temple.

Anyways the way India have batted here, nearly eclipsing England's first innings score has shown how poorly England batted yesterday. I don't think India bowled amazingly yesterday nor do I think England have bowled that poorly today, it's just the application of the batsmen that have made all the difference and should give India the match (save for collapses, conditions or second innings KP specials).

Disagree, TBH. India have batted better, sure, but they also bowled better. Most of the wickets fell to good, if not RU, deliveries.

And I don't really expect much application from the Priors, Strausses and tailenders of this World. 8-) (Rolleyes very much aimed at batsmen not you)

I actually don't think England batted all that badly yesterday, tbh. India bowled well and things went with them. Other than the shot Cook repeatedly gets out to which members here defend to the hilt because he scores a few runs from it.. and the fact that Strauss went driving at a ball that was a tad too short, I don't think they did a lot wrong.

So what's good total on this pitch? 400-450 I reckon.
Could quite easily see India getting 600 if things go their way - which they have so far.

And from my POV as Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman and Ganguly supporters, that'd be great. But it'd be even better if Strauss, Cook, Vaughan et al emulated them and saved the game.

Yeah I agree that India bowled quite well but I think England contibuted to their downfall just as much. A day or so of good bowling shouldn't mean you're all out for under 200 in the first innings. Not to take much away from Indian bowlers of course who did everything theywere asked to.
