The chances of a player getting out (how fast he will given he would bat x amount of time) increases the more he bats. Similarly you say when they were carrying on with the partnership and every one said this partnership will get broken soon, it wasn't jinxing it. There is no such thing as a jinx.

IS the law whether the light is dangerous for the batsmen or that the batsmen can't see properly?

If it is just the dangeours part, tough to go off when a spinner is on.
