I can't remember as the last time I saw him have a consistent run in the team without being out injured for several weeks/months/ice ages was three years ago plus. Was skipper in 03/04 and we missed him after he did some ligaments at Accrington but he was never the same again. Always got stuck in, and generally did the job of breaking it down for Sheldon/Coppinger to be creative with or waste.

Yeah, very good deal for us. Ellison will be okay in League Two, where kicking the ball past the full-back and running as fast as you can is generally acceptable. Because we've had him since he was a trainee and because he's only 23, the bosman rule has a part to it that allows smaller clubs to receive money for hot young players in order that they don't lose them for nothing after developing them for years.
