New Cricket Trivia - 'SJS format'

JASON

Cricketer Of The Year
The record was in the last year of 19th Century -that just means the individual played way into 20th Century.

* My teeth are really getting sore *

The Sean

Cricketer Of The Year
When did Clem Hill score his 99,98,97 in successive innings? I thought he did that around 1909 or something, but was it earlier?

EDIT - scratch that, you've already said it was in a single Test match. Do I at least have the right player?

Tapioca

State Vice-Captain
Clue He was an Allrounder and Australian Captain.
Hmmmm ....

Giffen scored 475 runs and took 34 wickets in a single series, but it won't qualify

Armstrong batted at No.11 on his debut (to avoid a sticky wicket) and was involved in a world record stand for the last wicket with Reg Duff, but was that was in the wrong side of 1900.

Have there been any other all rounder - captains ?

And he was a Dentist later in life.:)

Oh, ho. Saw this only now.

1899. Monty Noble became the only batsman to score two seperate fifties on the same day (though you could argue that Taufeeq Umar has also done the same thing)

The Wheel is Forever
I'll go for one:

This opening pair shared the new ball on numerous occasions (minimum qualification: 15 Tests) and never allowed an opening partnership of triple figures. Who are they?
