Excellent win for India. As jeevan pointed out, the RSA being under strength is a ridiculous argument. I felt that RSA would beat India very easily in these conditions before the series started and I think India have played some really good cricket to come up trumps in these conditions. Guys like Chawla were even struggling to grip the ball and they still did reasonably well.
Yuvraj done better than expected as a bowler and that is a big bonus for India. But I still think it is ridiculous that he is being considered a better bet than Sachin in crunch situations. Personally, I will always go for Sachin simply because he has so much variety.
The batting order seems to be shaping up well now. If only Sourav can get the knowledge of how to score reasonably quickly back....... But can't fault what he did in these conditions too much. One needed to play safe cricket in the initial overs in such pitches and he did try to get partnerships going. Sachin looked a lot more like SAchin in this series than any in the past couple of years. Hopefully, he can keep it going like this. Also wonderful to see how relaxed he and the rest of the team seem to be now. So hopefully the tensions of the Chappell era are gone. Would have liked to see Gambhir get a big one in one of these games but I would still give him a couple of more games because I think he has potential to be a regular in our ODI side. Dravid at 4 acts as the link between the top order and the middle order. And our middle order seems pretty good with Yuvraj, Dhoni and Karthik there. All of them are showing good temperament to bat in such situations. And Yuvraj seems to be finally getting back some form after almost a year (even though he didn't play much in the intervening period after his injury before the CT)... All in all, an excellent result for India. And what a wonderful gesture it was by Sachin. He was adjudicated as the MoS and yet he called out Yuvraj and said he wanted to share it with him since Yuvraj has done just as well in this series. Amazing spirit from the Champion.
RSA should start catching better, esp. Kallis who seems to drop a lot for a second slipper. But I think once Pollock is back, their bowling will look in much better shape. Unfortunately, I don't think Tshabalala is their answer for a spinner and so they still have to find a decent one of that species if they are to become a championship contender side in both forms of the game.... Also felt Kallis tended to let the games drift at various stages. Didn't seem as proactive as Graeme Smith, IMHO.
