Seemed like we bowled with a plan yesterday (why not do that from match One I wonder?) - although the Windies were unlucky to have no Devon Smith and Shiv and in Simmons and Richards (no relation, no comparison!) they had too many "Cooks" and it spoiled their broth. The most encouraging thing IMO was that Shah finished the innings off. England have had many weaknesses in ODI cricket and one of them is the lack of a Bevan style "finisher". How many times haveEngland batsmen got out in a run chase where all they had to do for us to win was stay in? In our last WC game for instance KP and Nixon just had to stay in and they both got out and 10 and 11 had to win it - NOT a desireable situation. One swallow does not make a summer but the calm way in which Shah finished the match was encouaging. On to the 50-50s - after a week of 20-20 it will be queer to see a long game again!
