Awesome performance from Yuvraj and Karthik in the end to see of the saffies. I Was particulary happy with Karthik's performance down the order as he took those singles at ease.
Few thoughts on yesterday's match about India, South Africa, specific players?I am here. tell me what
because of what you said about kamal, i shut my eyes to all the sacreligious things you said about rajani... ,
anyway back on topic, loving the tendulkar blitzkrieg...
Yup, the reason why Sourav's slow 50's have been appreciated over the last couple of months is because our batting has not been up to scratch. Once the other players get into form, Sourav will have to up his tempo or he will be on the chopping board once again. Of course, it was a difficult pitch to bat on, this one, and he hung around for the partnership, which gives a lot of confidence to both batsman to carry on.Sourav is still not convincing and honestly, I have never seen a player get more inside edges than Sourav. But he hung around and made sure they got a partnership going and obviously when Sachin is in such seriously good form, that is what one should do, so can't criticize him much at all based on this game. But I still think he is struggling to score quickly in ODIs ever since his return, not what he used to be like....
And Raj Kapoor is Victor Trumper.
He has been impressive throughout this series. He is a wicket keeper too, isn't he?Some very good knocks in there, I was particularly pleased to see Morne van Wyk scoring a few runs for South Africa.
Okay. Haven't explored South Indian cinema yet. Will talk with you on the subject when I am through with silent Tamil classics 37 years from now.lol, was talking in the context of Tamil actors there, Pratyush.
lol.... I will be waiting. Although I m not sure of "classics" in the silent movie genres, tbh.....Okay. Haven't explored South Indian cinema yet. Will talk with you on the subject when I am through with silent Tamil classics 37 years from now.
Sharma is just another example of BCCI's habit of pushing cricketers too early into international cricket on the basis of just a few good performances in domestic cricket, Indian team treats international cricket as grooming ground for these young cricketers and under the immense pressure of international cricket these cricketers fail to deliver the goods and then they are dropped which shatters the confidence of these players. So I guess Ishant Sharma's effort last night proved to be the random selection that he was?
He does keep wicket in domestic cricket but I'm not too sure whether he has ever worn the gloves for South Africa. He has a very impressive record to, surely the keeper that will take over after Mark Boucher. He has been impressive throughout this series. He is a wicket keeper too, isn't he?
Funny that RSA should have two wicket keepers opening their batting and yet neither of them are keeping...
Van Wyk is 28 himself though - only two years younger than Boucher. So I'd have my money on De Villiers to take over the reigns. He does keep wicket in domestic cricket but I'm not too sure whether he has ever worn the gloves for South Africa. Boucher is only 30? He's been around forever.Van Wyk is 28 himself though - only two years younger than Boucher. So I'd have my money on De Villiers to take over the reigns.
A slight bit of a snap judgement, but you are probably right that he was selected too fast and although promising, is nothing spectacular. So I guess Ishant Sharma's effort last night proved to be the random selection that he was?
Good article JJ, hopefully there is footage of Tendulkar's knock somewhere.
Cheers guys, that's why I put the report in the main thread as well as on the front page.Missed your piece JJ. Good one. Have read a piece from you after quite a while and I see tremendous improvement. You do a far better job than 95% of Indian MSM there and that piece could have appeared in any good newspaper any where I reckon. Just a small thing .. it is hindu gods...
Regards.
I am pretty sure that is correct.Just to clarify Pratyush, is hindu always the adjective used when describing anything belonging to hindus and hindi just a language? Thanks.
