Trust me, there's more money in cricket!!!!

Denis Compton won an FA Cup winner's medal with Arsenal, and was born in Milan, Italy.
You're right on the first part, but not the second. Suspect you've mixed him up with Lord Ted (Dexter), who was.

Denis's elder bro Leslie (ex-Middlesex) was the oldest man to make his debut in an Association Football international for England (v Yugoslavia in 1950 when he was 38) & is the only player to have 200 appearances for both Arsenal's first & reserve teams. Also played in the same FA Cup winning team as Denis.

I have lost all respect for the pair now. They're off my all-time England XI for this travesty.

Actually i'm not too surprised about that, i'm sure the skill and precision needed to hit a ball travelling at 90mph perfectly does have some sort of translation to a golf swing. Sure totally different technique, but the eye, the control and the power will help.

Now if you told me many cricketers were excellent footballers/rugby players, then i'd raise an eyebrow
