Should really have won today; 258 should be enough on a slow pitch. Desperately need another decent seamer/allrounder.

24-6-2007, Zebras CG: Clapo's XI beat Zebras by 9 wickets
Zebras 258-2 (50)
C Cattermole 84, S **** 121*
Clapo's XI 259-1 (46.3)
R Stroud 110, L Harris 87*
Thanks for the game mate :)

Extremely happy with Harris, and Stroud, not so happy however, with my bowlers....

Bowling in the cup:

End of Over 45: 236-5, runrate=5.24
Summers 8-0-39-4
Ali* 1 (2 balls)
Oliver 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Mcauley lbw b. Summers 114 (FOW: 236/5)

2 wickets early, then nothing, now 3 wickets in the last 10 so far. It's a flat pitch so I expect my team to chase this.

End of Over 20: 103-0, runrate=5.15, reqrunrate=4.70 (243-10)
Mcmenamin 5-0-25-0
Packer* 62 (73 balls)
Armstrong 39 (48 balls)

Should cruise it from there.

Going well, chasing the caves_beachcc total of 298

The Heath CC: 118-1 (25) Grant 67, Gibson 41*

Just lost the first wicket. Run rate has dropped recently, could do with a few boundaries. Lots of batting to come though.

End of Over 41: 192-2, runrate=4.68, reqrunrate=5.78 (243-10)
Hinshelwood 6-0-38-1
Obrien* 34 (37 balls)
Wheat 5 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Packer b. Hinshelwood 98 (FOW: 186/2)

Both openers missing out on the landmark figure (100 and 50). Still should cruise this with tons of batting left.

The Heath CC: 197-2 (39)

102 to win from the last 11 overs, it's anybody's game!

Edit: 41 needed off 23 balls

Edit: 27 off 12 - reckon Bugssy's got this sewn up.

Figures, got one of the hardest possible draws in the cup, either side of the team I got I'd have been big favourite to win. I'm still away from home because of my high overall position in the league from last season.

Edit: Ironically I knocked them out of the BT20, but they didn't have their gunnish U19 player then

Bugssy just got the better of me this time, so he wins the series 2-1. I think I've got the right batting order for my team now though, and it's the first time I've had a feeble middle order which is good. Gardiner followed up his century on Friday with another excellent innings for me today, but he just couldn't do enough to see us over the line after Grant and Gibson's solid, but slightly turgid start.

£1.2m stopgap allrounder - destructive as well. Not really interested in raising either of his primaries (unless he's close to popping? anyone?), so just a fielding net for now.

His BTR is fairly low and while it's possible for one primary to be high it's unlikely (particularly given the wage).

How much should i sell these two players for. I think i might start re-building my squad now. There is a couple areas i want to fix up and i need to raise some cash. I'm thinking around $1m for Dowdall and $2m for Sisk.
