Good win by Surrey in chasing down 168 against Middlesex. Ramps top scored blasting 85 runs of only 52 deliveries. Although, more satisfying for the club would be that they won a game with neither Brown nor Benning firing.

Hat-trick for Snape. FFS.
LOL and Jemery's nothing more than a part time cricketer now. Stuart Broad aside, Leicestershire really are voided of any real 'star' cricketers, Allenby's got something about him but the rest are pretty much bog standard good county pro's or just journeymen.

Goodwin scores the first 20:20 century of the season, 102* off 65 balls. The rest of the side only scored 63 runs between them, pretty decent effort.

Fair effort. David Lloyd tipped Essex to win the 20/20, so you can write them off straight away as potential champions.

4 runs, 5 minutes, 6 balls, 0 4s, 0 6s, strike rate of 66.66 every 100 balls.

Usually you can find people who agree with the odd controversial selection but I haven't seen anyone who likes Yardy being picked.

At a guess, 4 off 6 balls in 5 minutes S/R 66

Leics beat Yorks by 13 runs, it ought to have been a ball sooner but the fielder taking the catch stepped over the rope. There were people on the pitch - they thought it was all over ...

Fair bit of hitting from Ryan McLaren has got Kent up past 150. McLaren smashed 46 runs of only 19 balls, on a wicket which according to commentary has something in it.

Morne Morkel generating some serious pace for Kent, slip fielders for Kent are almost on the 30 yard circle. :)

Mascarenhas proves his worth by running though the Kent middle-order. Interesting to see how Adam Voges goes later on.

Solid start from Lancashire - Keedy again the unsung hero. Jayasuriya will probably end up making more impact with the ball than the bat. Chilton may as well drop himself now though: what's the point in him batting so low when his captaincy at this level has been shown before to be lacking and he isn't much of an asset in the field and isn't going to get a bowl these days. Drop him, bring in one of the younger batsmen. Or a specialist field.

Morne most economical bowler for Kent. Impressive!

(Not only that: no no-balls in 24 deliveries!)

Edit: 15 sixes at Chelmsford...they got their money's worth...

Pretty impressed by Kent this evening actually. When the middle order was subsiding I thought it was going to be a pretty depressing score, but Key, Morkel and in particular McLaren have somehow contrived to make a decent fist of the game. If we can tie with Hampshire, hopefully we can beat a few of the other weaker teams, and maybe this will be where McLaren finally comes to the fore. 46 of 19 balls is a great start.
