Very few do.

Quite honestly, you probably need an IQ less than 80 or over 150 to stand a chance (that's not a put-down).
Assuming you yourself know what you're on about (which is actually a grey area), which end are you at?

That's for me to know, others to guess and you to run out of fingers on.

Yes, got me there.

It's one of those words I have a problem with - I never used to until the missus bought me that horrible Harry Potter book.

But Eddie is there a possibility you could change your posts sort of
so that the many of us with IQs higher than 80 and lower tan 150 can understand

Well, the trouble is I've been banned from doing sheep jokes, so all I've got left is the intellectual stuff for Neil, Corey, Adam and Voltman.

Oh yes, and the really dumb stuff for the Americans.

I'm offended at my absence from that list. And even more so at Neil's inclusion.

I'm so sorry - not necessarily about your omission though.

I'd actually only revisited the thread to remove the bit about Americans because I was feeling guilty, but now you've gone and quoted it. Boy, am I in trouble now.

I think I'm gonna have to concede defeat on this one - after all, I did manage to lose a battle of wits to Neil the other day. :-O

On a different note, do I remember you saying something ages ago about you having been involved in comedy in some way in the past? Maybe I'm just making it up - it was probably just a joke that flew way over my head. ;)

Only comedy writing. I tried stand-up at a comedy club when I was about 18, but I laugh at my own jokes. At the time, Ken Goodwin had a monopoly on that.

I can't believe I'm considered inter-, inta-, intellek-... clever.

I think that was an ironic inclusion. Like calling bald guys 'curly'. :D

I tried comedy at a family function once but everyone laughed.

Strangely though, the best sportsman I know - my old first XI/rep captain, who made the NZ under 17s cricket team, NZ under 19 rugby team and has now got a full contract with Canterbury rugby (from reports I've heard, he was going to be replacing Reuben Thorne this year in the NPC but that hasn't happened) - is a really good, humble guy.
Couldn't figure out who this is, anyone have an idea? I was thinking Kieran Read possibly.

Yeah, the obvious one that springs to mind. Michael Paterson is more of a lock and I'm pretty sure Read was a cricketer of note.
