Lovely finish there from Evans. He had an excellent game.

This French side was the worst I've seen them put out - though the injuries certainly didn't help either side.

We can't read anything into this victory as the opposition were very weak, but I am looking forward to being challenged, and possibly beaten, by the Aussies or Saffies.

Can't see it from the Aussies; Saffers look good for a game though. Hopefully we'll see some games where teams actually field XV international class players. That'd be a start.

I wonder if Canada next week will be as poor as this French side 8-)

They'll be much worse. ABs to crack the ton in that game for mine

You'd think so... I'm hoping to see us defend well enough to not concede a single try (possibly not a single point). I won't condone any failed showboating on the attack though.

Rokocoko and Sivivatu have looked pretty good over this couple of games though Rodney has looked fairly anonymous.
Christ, that's harsh. Look how vastly improved the scrum ball was last week when So'oialo came on, while tonight, his workrate was again outstanding. Couple that with clever options and great clean-outs at the rucks, and I'd say he was one of the ABs' best.

Tuiali'i is the perfect example of a flat track bully - goes missing in the big games and has not once grasped his chance when he's worn the black jersey.

Maybe, but still think guys like him and Lauaki have the raw talent and brute strength and Graeme and co might be able to get the best out of them somehow

Well said mate. So'oialo is terribly under-rated by the majority of the New Zealand public, especially by the columnists who don't seem to realise how much work he gets through and how vital he is to the All Blacks as a unit.

rokocoko what a game, my favourtite all black by far. pretty bad luck for ali williams that looked pretty bad. imo the "test" vs canada next week is a joke. its just going to be a pointless smashing

So'oialo's playing well at the moment.

Great first half from the All Blacks. The game lost its shape a bit in the second half but still a really good performance. Nice way to break England's home record.

You're quoting something that I said during the first half, and he hadn't been involved much at all at that point. I have split loyalities with Rodders. He runs out for the Canes, which is obviously a plus for a Lower Hutt boy, but he has played some dreadful games in Black - especially that test in South Africa last year where he seemed to pass the ball to the Yarpies more than to his own players. That said, I'd like to see him be successful, just his inconsistency riles me when you know how well he's able to play

How are you blokes down there feeling about these "tests" v vastly weakened NH teams? Serve absolutely no purpose as far as I can see, apart from devaluing the whole notion of test rugby. The French, for instance, had no survivors in the XV from their last 6 Nations match v the sweaties. Only Ibanez & (maybe) Magne would make their strongest team.

Just seem to be some sort of quid pro quo for SH teams touring during our autumn.

Given how **** the 'Super' 14 was for your average Kiwi rugby fan this year, at least getting to see some decent New Zealanders in action is a step up. These shouldn't be officially sanctioned test matches though - its like playing against an A team. Rank.

Tonga vs Fiji and Junior All Blacks vs Australia A next weekend. Both matches should be good to watch.

Expecting the Junior All Blacks to dominate Australia A actually, while the Fiji vs Tonga game should be a fair bit closer. If I'm lucky I may be attending the Junior AB's game.

JAB's probably a lot quicker than Aus A. Maybe it was Aus A's plan to take it a bit easy vs. Japan because they seemed to be very relaxed at time and didn't seem like they were pumping it.
