It's been a while :-O

We've had some good games, but we've also had some terrible games. Can someone give me the downlow? Where do we stand with regards to finals?

You need as many points as possible in your current game against the Colts and you need to hope that CW Black don't beat CW Blue. But if CW Red is to win the title as well as get into the final, CW Black needs to draw with CW Blue, and CW Red needs to beat CW Colts.

That's all in FC.

In OD it's CW Red and CW Blue tied in second place and CW Green 1 point behind going into the final day of the season.

So its a chance of making both, but fairly slim i would say. Hopefully we can get something out of the current FC game v Colts, although with our 1st innings still underway in the 5th day anythnig could happen.

Indeed. And it's an OD match that CW Red can get into the final with a win. Yet no one seems focused on that at all.

haha too good? We played out a very shakey draw, and took ****e all wickets. If we are to win the competition moerk and i will have to play out a 10,000 ball innings to bore the Blues, or the bowlers are going to have to step up and take the 20 wickets required.

Hopefully its the latter :P

But nah in all seriousness we have a great chance for some silverwear this year, but we have had the same chance in precious seasons, so lets try not to blow it :P

Also feeling for Marc atm, although it was his choice to leave, im sure hes feeling a bit down now. Hopefully we can win it for him!

CW Red vs CW Black - FC - June 5 - Pickford Reserve

H. Mørk - 4/10 - Really needed you to anchor a big first innings, or hang around in the 2nd, unfortunately couldn't really do either. Keeping was scrappy at times

G.K.K. Dobson - 6/10 - Played extremely well in the first innings for 74 after the early wickets of Mork & Sharma. Unfortunately couldn't go on and make a ton, also started well in the 2nd but undone by a loose shot.

A. Sharma - 2/10 - A little unfortunate to be on the wrong end of 2 awesome deliveries.

R.J. Dauth - 6/10 - In the same boat as Kenny. Played well in the first, lost the psychological battle to Pickup, and with it your wicket. Solid start in the 2nd, but again undone by Pickup.

D.A. Kearsley - 7/10 - Played 2 good fighting innings, wouldn't been nice to see you go on with one of them though. That said, you were still our best over both innings with the bat.

C.P. Thompson - 5/10 - Also batted well in the 1st dig, and also got out to a loose shot, then also failed in the 2nd. Bowled okay at times, but bowling was largely unthreatening.

C.R. Dwyer - 5/10 - Got starts in both innings, but also got out to a loose shot in the 1st innings. Unfortunate dismissal in the 2nd to a brilliant yorker. Despite picking up Richards, bowling was uninspiring.

G.N. Nayak - 3/10 - Unsurped by a quality slower ball 1st time round, launched a bit of a fightback in the 2nd, but in reality it was to little to late. Poor bowling despite the wicket of borcich.

S.A. Bennett - 6/10 - Solid bowling . Getting Donald in the 1st innings gave the team a sniff of dismissing black for under 300, but then we know what Cloete did from there. Great work with the willow to hang around and help get the team past the follow-on target, and further towards 400. Also hung around in the 2nd innings, frustrating black.

D.M. Kennett - 7/10 - Bowled your heart out in blacks mammoth 1st innings, deserved the 4 wickets. Then backed it up with another Kennett special with the bat. Expensive 2nd innings with the ball, but again top defensive batting. Teams best player

D.J. Watt - 1/10 - Eek, i think you'll agree that the sooner we forget about this game the better. Really needed you to give Kennett a helping hand.

Bloody disappointing to tie that last OD match.

I thought we were right in the box seat to be involved in 2 finals this season. Guess we just let em score too many in the end :(

Good luck to all the boys in the FC final, this is our chance to break the drought and get some silverware in the cupboard. It's a timeless game so I expect to see some enthralling performances from Haakon and DK :p

Personally I hope I can turn my recent FC form slump around and take some key wickets and have an influence on the game alongside DK with the new cherry.
