No way did Polak beat Lucas on saturday.
Lucas' stats made him look a hell of a lot better than he was. Most of his possessions were far from damaging or effective and he certainly didn't provide much of a dangerous (scoring wise) target up forward for Essendon.

Thoughts on adapting a Last Man Standing for AFL? Would need a new thread though, here's Brumby's explanation paraphrased.

For those of you not acquainted with the idea the rules are very straightforward: everyone who enters selects a team from the AFL each week, if they win you stay in but if they lose or draw, you're out. You can only select the same side once in each running of the competition (so if you select, say, Carlton this week & they win you cannot select them again). The last person left in the competition wins....

So any interest?

Yeah I'm in.

But say West Coast play Melbourne at Subi (I realise thats already happened), can't everyone choose WC that week?

Forseeable problem though is if we make it to finals and there is not yet a "last man standing", and those in the competition have used all of those teams in the finals to that point.

Yeah, that is a problem. I guess we can go till round 22 and if there is more than one person left, they will be joint winners. Still 13 rounds or so, pretty confident we can get the one winner.
