International Captain
Think we could wait for another bowler since we're struggling in ODs and tend to lose people to international squads from the bowling department more often than elsewhere, but I suppose we aren't getting a massive influx of bowlers at the moment anyway.

No access to Y! Mail from work anymore, sucks. :(

I wasn't complaining about the player that signed up or his skills. I was just saying that it might be an option to mention that there's much less depth in batting and you may get more opportunitites if you choose to sign up as a batsman. It's no secret a lot of newbies go inactive due to lack of gametime, this is just increasing the gap.
It wasn't so long ago that captains where complaining about the low number of seamers signing up, now people say there is too many. Give it time and im sure people we start complaining about too many batsmen signing up. Its just cycles that we go through and at the moment there isn't enough batsmen. The next cycle that we will go through is not enough all rounder, and well it was only a couple seasons back people said their were too many all rounders signing up and limited spots for specialist bowlers.

Haha what did a say about cycles. Funny thing it wasn't so long ago the Under 19s only had one opening batsmen to pick from, Luff, now we got five. Six if that Green batsmen gets active again.

Welcome mate btw.

At first you'll be drafted by one of the 5 teams (CW Red, CW Blue, CW Colts, CW Green, CW Black), then it will be up to you to stay active via posting, and of course whether you'll be selected in the development league (the main competition) will depend on your form in CW Grade Cricket :)

What's this thing all about and how is it different from the other thing I signed up for. Is there any need for an aging fast bowler?

To make it as simple as possible because it took me ages to figure out myself, this you take part in as a player in teams made up with other members from CW and the other one 'World Club Cricket' you manage a team. I need your msn if you have it as well as your my 2nd XI for Auckland.

MSN? I'll have to install that I guess. I have Yahoo! Messenger where my ID is HeathDavisSpeed@yahoo.co.nz or somesuch (not sure whether you need the .co.nz stuff or not) and I can chat with other MSN users over Yahoo! If that doesn't work, let me know. I'm not too hot on these computer things, not since I upgraded from my old Dragon 64k anyway.

I don't think there's that much to discuss tbh, we can probably do most of it through email anyways.

No problem. Up to you mate. I will require a fair deal of guidance I would warn you. I will be warming up my bowling shoulders for some coaching sessions down the nets though. Get those young tearaways pelting the ball down!!!
