I disagree that it was a quality game. I said to a friend at half time that it was the best origin game I had seen, and the second half just made it all that much better.

Mullen looked well and truely out of his depth. Every one of his kicks went straight down the QLD back three's throat. Buderus is the most over-rated piece of crap ever, Smith had it all over him. Meninga is a coaching genius.

Price has gotten better with age, and Thurston is now an out-and-out superstar!

yeah the NSW kicking in play was terrible. I made a bit of money by putting 20 quid on Queensland at half time, it was pretty obvious NSW were going to tire with the way things were going even in the first half. Queensland had the chances to be at least level at HT in any case

NSW need to pick a coach who is motivator rather than an analyst of play. When you get to the highest level you don't need coaching you need motivation.

If NSW want to win they need to do this:

Out with - Kite, Simpson, Tupou, Gidley, Lyon

In With - Hoffman, Gallen, Bird, El Masri, Farah

Not having a proper hooker to back up Buderus showed and it was when he was off the park that QLD put on the 2nd Half points. King to move to center with El Masri on wing

I thought Kite was the pick of the forwards in the first half, he had a shocker in the 2nd half, but when he came back Queensland had control of the ruck. Also when White and Mason got injured our lack of depth up front showed. Simpson and Ryan tried hard up front, but your not going to win too many games with them playing half the game as front rowers. Dropping a front rower for an extra backrower wouldn't be the best move IMO.

Lyon game wasn't that bad and if he gets dropped if would be for more attacking type player, don't think El Masri much extra to out attack. Lyon's goal kicking is getter better every week and its no longer a weak link.

I do agree with the selection of Farah, but most likely he will be poorly used like Gidley anyway. Gallen, Bird, Hoffman or Mataui have to come in for Simpson or Tupou if not both. I can't see Tupou playing the next match, Simpson might keep his spot, on the back of past performances and the fact front row for most of the match. I reckon O'Meley wouldn't be the worst selection either for White.

Id agree with those changes, except Kite probably should keep his spot, dont think both Gallen and Bird should be picked, either one would do well though...

Put $20 on QLD seeing that everyone I heard kept raving about them being big favourites, and they were still at over $1.50. Was watching Heroes, flipped to the Rugby and saw NSW up 18-6. Watched Heroes again, then flipped back and QLD are 24-18

I'm impressed they even showed it live in Melbourne. I thought it was meant to be at 11.55pm or something stupid down there.

as if NSW weren't dire enough in the 2nd half, but soon as they took Bedsy off, the team got a helluva lot worse. No, he's not in as good as form as RF at this point in time, but he's far from an overrated piece of crap. Cameron Smith (who i agree, is the better hooker, but not that much better) was allowed to dominate because he had the 2 best fowards on the park, who weren't dropping the ball every second touch. Buderus was 1 of the reasons we didn't win by 20+ imo.

Also, can't understand why you NSW people are calling for Simpsons head. Yes, i'm a Knights fan, but if he wasn't 1 of your best 2 fowards out there i'm not here. We here in QLD won't mind if you drop him!
