Ouch, Sangakarra has scored 24 runs out of the team's total of 29. What class.

Ramprakash and Butcher's partnership ended at 515/3, they added over 400 for the third wicket. Rampers is on 212 as I type.

Cue Ally Brown, who isn't the person you really want to see walking to the crease when the opposition are 515 for 3

Surrey pile up 626 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, then strike with their first ball of the innings to leave Sussex reeling at 0/1.

Their stand of 403 fell just 10 short of the county 3rd-wicket record held by Darren Bicknell and David Ward since 1990. Of course, that year saw some freakish scoring feats in county cricket. That 50 was Ali Brown's first runs to speak of in this year's Championship.

Great stuff by Surrey and the batting alone should be enough to keep them in the first division. No better domestic team when confronted on a road.

He got to 48 out of 56 and Loudon had 0 from 25 balls at one point. Seems like they saw off the early conditions and it's become a bit easier to score now.

The loss of 4 sessions makes a draw favourite though.

Fantastic stuff from Sangakkara, he will absolutely gun it in England. Although, its a shame to see Trott's poor form has continued for he didn't really excel last year and there is a fantastic chance for him to force his way into the ODI set-up. It never looks good if your number ten not only averages more than yourself but has nearly scored as many runs.

Can not be an overtly awful wicket if Marcus North is scoring runs. Although, Glamorgan’s bowling attack features a kid, a guy whose not bowled a 'long' spell in nigh eighteen months and Robert Croft.

Yes. The guy only averages in the mid 40s in FC cricket...
Remember his spell at Lancs or indeed at Durham?

North is a decent to good batsman but his career has been helped extremely well by WACA roads. His bowling is pretty decent and underrated mind.

What's so bad about Croft?.He's a pretty decent spinner imo.

Hahaha. Croft turns it on a turning pitch, which is no more than any fingerspinner has ever done. It's not a case of the spinners these days spinning it less, it's a case of there being less spin-friendly wickets than there were in the days of uncovered pitches.
