How the **** did you convince Steven Gerrard to leave Liverpool? I couldn't do that even if I were Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Sacked by Coventry after a 7 game unbeaten stretch when we were pulling away from the early season trouble and starting to play as we had done the previous season (when we lost in the play off final)

Could've understood it when we were bottom, but not when we were winning games.

Got a short term deal to try and save Mantova from Serie B relegation, 8 points from first 4 games so should be a fairly simple job.

Well Jermain Defoe knocked back a £27m move to Manchester United. Well it was £3.1m initally and £16.1m in payments over 24 months and the rest was a 40% sell on fee. Paul Robinson had a similar offer (this about £7.75m) from MU and he knocked it back citing more money despite him having a sook when I turned down offers from Arsenal and MU. Make up your bloody mind. Inter are offering me £6.4m plus Santiago Solari in return, but I'm going to have to say no as I don't need anymore left wingers. If anything I'm trying to loan players out.

Anyway, I started a new game using the latest patch. Started off unemployed and as a sunday league footballer. After a few days I got the job as coach of Canada. Won my first game against Argentina but lost the next few against Brazil, USA and Jamaica. I did some experimenting in those games though with different players in preparation for the Gold Cup which I won. Seeing as it's harder to get a job as a club manager based on how long I'd been managing and that I was an international manager I resigned a few days after. Got a few job offers soon and wanted to see if I could get back the Canada job at the same time but they gave it to a Canadian assistant manger at a MLS or USL club or something. Unbelievable. Anyway, the Albacete job offer wa sthe most intriguing for me so took that. Also had some Conference North/South offers and a few lower division French sides who gave me transfer budgets. Albaceteare in the Spanish second division so I figured they'd be the best shot at getting a top job as they were the highest profile club. Problem is that finances are insecure and I have no transfer budget as well as the wage budget being over 4 mil over meaning that I can barely offer targets a good salary. Managed to get in 12 players though and restructured a couple deals to lower the wage difference to just around 4 mil. The highest earners don't want to resturcture though as some are in their last years. That means I'll have to get promoted to keep them or finsih very high. I'm midtable ater three games and elected to drop out of Copa del Rey to focus on the league. Good news is that board injected 1 mil into the club lower the balance from -6 mil to -5 mil. Not much but better than nothing and hopefully if my target of getting promoted happens they'll pump in some more money over the course of the season. Have gone about strengthening the staff and releasing deadwood youth players. Also had to play some friendlies against high profile teams to get money into the club. Planning to play some over the winter break and in between schedule breaks where I don't have a game for say two weeks. Will have to play the B team in those games though to save the first team. Anyway I can improve the club's financial status while still pushing for promotion is my goal for the season. Should be interesting. If I get them promoted I'll stay with them a season in La Liga and will only stay longer if we do well and a Prem club or top Serie A/ La Liga team doesn't come in for me. Hopefully I can get an international job again and do well, not necessarily win a major trophy to boost my profile to ulitimately manage Man Utd after Fergie retires and/or his successor fails.

Yes, how dare they not offer the job to someone who's already walked out on them before?!

Nah just that it was given to an assistant manager at a club team, not that I didn't get the job. If he was say manager of said club team that'd be understandable.

To be honest it's not a major nation though. I'd say the job has much less high profile than a manager's job in the top 2 divisions of the main nations would be bigger.

Have four days off now, so decided to try my hand at FM again. Started a game with Vasalund/Essinge IF (would link to the wikipedia page, but there isn't one) in Sweden's third tier, division north.

223 fans braved the weather for our first competitive game of the season, a 5-0 trouncing of south division Carlstad United. Scored bucketloads of goals in the friendly and even took a 2-0 lead over Enköping (second tier) with a 15yo scoring both goals.

Dunno how there's money in the bank though.
