Nah, me neither really. Few Poms have tho tbf.
Tbf, our cream has not really ever gone out there. Looking at all the players I can recall going over there recently, we've had Harvey Howard, Morley, Keith Mason, Chris Thorman, Mark Edmondson, Carney and now Mathers. None of the others are anywhere near Carney or Morley's class.

BARNES OUT
Broncos looked like schoolboy footballers without him. Didn't know where the **** they were going. Civ at first reciever, Boyd taking hitups etc.

Yeah, it wasn't pretty. We were lucky that we only lost by 8 points. If Lockyer is out for a fair while, we will find it very hard to make it into the top 8 for the semi finals. Also, my tipping is going to go down hill, because I never tip against the Broncos.

Yeah, and it doesn't bode well for when he's gone for good. I guess they'll have some money to splash but I can't think of a player to go to at the moment.

Hoping he'll do more of a Morley than a Thorman any road.
Thorman was stuffed around royally by Brian Smith really. It took him about 20 weeks to realise that he wasn't a hooker or a halfback and that he was a five-eighth - and when that happened, Thorman actually played really well.

I can see a fight between the Broncos & Knights for the signatures of possibly Sherwin & Monaghan come seasons end tbh.

This loss, and the fact that they're going to suffer during the Origin series has pretty much guaranteed that we won't be seeing the Broncos in the finals for the 1st time ever imo. (or did they miss a finals series early on in the piece?)

In don't think they made the finals in their first 4 years as a club.

If Lockyer out we could see the making of Hunt IMO, i reckon given a chance he could gun it 5/8, maybe halfback if they throw him there. Im only taking Broncos here as Prince would walk into the halfback position and Thurston pushes to 5/8. Looks to me that Broncos have always had a couple good 5/8 who have been playing halfback. Moon i reckon would also do better at 5/8.

Pretty sure his only interested in money and no NRL club, can offer him the same amount of money as an English. Should try his luck at rugby while his at it too, might help increase his value.

Monaghan actually just wants to play halfback, Brisbane can offer that to him, theres 4 players we are apparently chasing, they being PJ Marsh, Josh Lewis, Craig Wing and Michael Monaghan

Going back even further you had Andy Platt (came from Salford AFAC) for the New Zealand Warriors (known as Auckland back then), Dennis Betts, and Phil Clarke (there was another English player to play for Melbourne but I forget his name).

TBF I did cheat using Wiki though :p

Think Scott Prince will be named as an 18th man for Queensland.

Scott Prince is a definite to be named as 18th man. Lockyer will be selected, but they'll have Prince there for back up.
