Gun day at the office for Yorkshire, top stuff.
That Yorkshire team looks pretty tasty on paper with 8 Internationals and Rashid probably becoming another in the future.

Not just part-time internationals but some big (if some old names) in Younis Khan, Gough, Hoggard and Gillespie as well as decent International cricketers like White and Rudolph.

Yeah it seems great doesn't it. Although it will get a bit worse when they go away on international duty, allthough I'm still tipping them for the title.

Matthew Hoggard wrote an interesting piece in yesterday's Times about the effect Goughy has had on the dressing room.

He said something like: "He makes us laugh most of the time, and only half of it is intentional"

Yorkshire have got an absolutely cracking first X1 but I'm not so sure about their back up players like Gale,Pyrah and Patterson.

Di Venuto gets his double ton as Durham get maximum batting points reaching 400.

I'm fairly happy with that, I'd be surprised if Durham don't bowl Kent out for less.
I'm also pretty happy with the day's play from a Kentish point of view, given than Durham won the toss and were 227-2 at one point. Looks like Di Venuto played an absolutely stunning innings though. With the dodgy weather forecast over the next few days, I would expect the game to be a draw, which means it's a case of making as many bonus points as possible and then taking the 4 for the draw. Kent have got maximum bowling points, even if they did let Durham get away a bit, and I would expect them to at least match their score, given the long batting line up on what seems to be a pretty good wicket.

I reckon Van Jaarsveld will make runs tomorrow after finding his feet against Middlesex on Monday.

Good to see coetzer return to form with 73 hopefully he gets a full season at durham this year, why he wasn't picked for scotland at the world cup was completely mystifying.

Yea I think he'll get a good run now, Will Smith has done sweet FA, Ben Harmison and Garry Park haven't done much either. Two of those three have been playing each match.

The weather's being kind so far this morning - every game has started on time. Warwickshire aren't having the best time of it so far with 3 quick wickets going down already.

Impressive figures for Tim Murtagh at Trent Bridge, 23 overs, 13 maidens, four wickets for 27. Not bad for a guy whose career economy in first class cricket is close to 4 runs an over.

Dale Steyn has got Warwickshire an extra batting point, Steyn's scored over 100 runs so far for Warwickshire this season and is second only to Tim Ambrose in terms of average. Not bad for a guy whose average was under 10 six months ago.
