TBH, the problem is not lack of players for the selectors to look at, but I cringe when I think of how much will have been spent on importing them and others, plus everyone who's played the last 4 seasons...

I think it's mainly down to South Africa changing their provincial set up to just 6 teams and the mess that is Zimbabwe cricket. When we can only have one overseas player next year will we have even more Kolpaks?

Me, I'd be perfectly happy to lance overseas-players completely while the Kolpak ruling still applies.

There is indication that a new draft EU constitution may reflect that sport is different to most forms of employment.

Yup, English accents v much in the minority at the Rose Bowl. From their last Friends Provident game: Lumb (saffie), Ervine (zimba), KP (saffie), Pothas (saffie), Mascarenhas (aussie, albeit UK born one), Warne (aussie) & Clarke (aussie) . That makes four native-born Poms in out of eleven.
