BBC were reporting and so were Sky Sports that Ireland beat Hampshire by D/L, now turns out that Hampshire won by eight wickets. Got worried for a minute for Hampshire's run rate was ridiculously good and they had tons of wickets left.

Also, Scotland have lost again in the last over, Northants needed 14 of the last two but the South Africans, DJ Jacobs, Zulu and van der Wath were good enough to bring Northamptonshire home. Good knock by Jacobs on county debut, has an appalling one day record for a player of his quality.

It seems like Kent's batting order is the wrong way around.
Yep, absolutely. You'd have thought that Graham Ford and co would have realised from Jones' ODI career that he's not an opener. The same goes for Stevens. I'd open with Denly and Key and keep the order much the same as in the longer form of the game:

Key
Denly
VJ
Walker
Stevens
Jones
Hall
McLaren
Arafat
Tredwell
Cook

If you get to the last 10/15 overs with only a few wickets down, send one of Hall/McLaren/Arafat up the order like they did today. It's a good one day side, we ought to be challenging for silverware really.

i reckon i could slap middlesexs attack around at the moment :@ where the bloomin hell is chaminda?
I could do the same with the Lancs batsmen. :@

Don't get too excited about Vaas, he doesn't like the Dukes ball -

Edgbaston 91.50
Lords 96.00
Old Trafford 64.50
Trent Bridge 49.50

I wish someone had picked up Hilfenhaus. He would be absolutely lethal in English conditions and it would be a great sighter for him for 09.

Bailey has started relatively well for Scotland and Glamorgan have signed up Wright - I hope he doesn't come back bloody crocked again like last time he was over there.

Yeah, I'm sure Lancs fans won't mind though. Hampshire's batting looks a little bit brittle to me, they could have done with Pietersen in there.

Yeah it's looking a bit better now, but they're still going at over 6.5 an over!

Di Venuto's a quality player, he's always done well for whoever he's played for.
