*Official* English Football Season 2006-07

Tom Halsey

International Coach
I rate Fletcher very highly in central midfield, he was a critical part of our victories against Roma and the home leg of AC Milan. Fariyl dire on the wings, though, and fairly dire on Wednesday.

EDIT: Ignore weird face thing on top of post.

Aye, Fletcher has taken the step up this season but if I ever see him on the wings again I'll be a sad man.

This is even more interesting than what I just posted...maybe, now that you brought up Fletch. At least he looks like he's getting up to that potential. Certainly improved a lot this season. Saw the article today, it was posted on a Man Utd forum,
Marvellous propaganda. Next they will be saying Ole Gunnar Solskjær is back to his best and that Nemanja Vidić is the quickest centre back in world football. Fletcher's decent at best, whose ability is doubled thanks to the individuals who play with him. Its no wonder Alex Ferguson was so keen on Obi-Wan Kenobi.

He's played most of his career so far on the wing though, which isn't his best position. It's a bit like Sven putting Andy Johnson wide right and seeing what he can do.

But he was exposed cruelly on Wednesday night, sure he was not helped by Carrick but he lacks the necessary qualities to dominate a midfielder. If you sit back against Man Untied then sure he will look a million dollars but hustle them like AC did and his weaknesses become far to apparent. Sadly, he looked lightweight to me.

Yeah he was woeful on Wednesday, indeed, but atm I'm putting that down as a one-off, considering he's been vita in getting us this far. May turn out next season to be emphatically not a one-off, but atm that's what I'm putting it down as.

Ah no we're one down but in all fairness Ball should really be sent off but still losing to United argh!!!

I really don't see the correlation of liking a team having anything to do with English/British players, so I'm not really going to argue the point. Maybe if the England team wasn't a bunch of overpaid, over-rated, posing tossers it would make a difference.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Alex Ferguson, Gary Neville, a fairly big triumverate of evil in my minds.

Anywhoo, just to prove that they're the devils own team, the guy who hit in the shot, and the guy that scored the OG last night, both with manure connections. Load of predictable ****e that was8-)

I'm really looking forward to the second leg:unsure:

It wasn't written yesterday if that's what you think. It clearly says year 2000. Also, it was in his defence because of the unfair criticism he gets. Blamed sometimes for a loss/draw in games he didn't even play in. TBF most of the regular posters who hated his guts have been turned around so there's hope for you yet.
