Have you seen Denly play? I haven't.Pleased to see Kent get their first win on the board, in spite of a battling display of the likes that we've come to expect from Ireland. Great knock from Denly - I think he has a big season ahead.
You said it might be the most important innings in English one day history!!! I would actually even doubt whether it was the most important innings of the game in question.Umm... I don't understand. How on Earth can you say Clarke (regardless of whether his innings was important in turning 430 into 490, which I don't see how it could be thought not to have been) has done something which had been done before?
You've skipped your pills again, haven't you? Calm down.FFS, Brown's even older than Nixon. And Nixon was picked with a Cup around the corner, Brown will be 41 by the next one. What on Earth would be the point picking him for ODIs now? Especially given he's already a tried-and-failed case?
Took him 19 balls to reach 50, one of which was a no-ball bouncer which he supposedly couldn't reach or would have been a wide anyway, that counted to his balls faced.Does anyone know how many balls it took Clarke to reach 50? It's a pretty astonishing effort, and a huge margin of defeat as well. Would anyone bet against Surrey for the trophy??

No, unfortunately not - I usually only manage to make it along once or twice a season due to being a poor student who lives too far away and doesn't drive, but hopefully now he's nailing down a place in the side I'll get to see him this year.Have you seen Denly play? I haven't.
Had a good start to the season, him Godleman and Rashid all looking decent prospects for England. Lets hope they can keep it up throughout a full season.
Sheesh... and then 9 balls for the next 32? Pretty impressive stuff.Took him 19 balls to reach 50, one of which was a no-ball bouncer which he supposedly couldn't reach or would have been a wide anyway, that counted to his balls faced.
Eh? Where TF did I call it the most important innings in English one-day history??????!!!!!!! I said the most impossible innings in... etc.You said it might be the most important innings in English one day history!!! Fair enough, 82 in 28 balls is astonishing hitting, but for me, coming in at 2-365 and scoring those runs doesnt constitute important.
Indeed, which is depressing to say the least. You've skipped your pills again, haven't you? Calm down.
I wasn't advocating the selection of Brown, I was merely pointing out that if our selectors saw fit to select an uncapped 36-year-old, I wouldn't rule anything out. & Nixon's retention in the 25 man squad would also suggest he's not seen as purely a short term measure either.
Nice avatar, good to see you finally giving something else a go.Good win for the Bears as well.
Huge over-reaction there...Benning looks a completely different case, though. If he doesn't get a ODI chance this summer there go our chances for 2011.
