Super Eight

Regarding the debate of India and Pakistan both being out, its been personified further with the WI turning crap and barely playing good cricket during the Cup, and England haven't been that crash hot either bar the SL game during the Super 8s.

Its resulted in a lot of uncompetitive cricket. India and Pakistan out was disappointing, but its just been made worse by the top 3 being certain very early, and SA only having a scare thanks to their ineptness on slow wickets.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a 'shocker', but the standard of cricket and the standard of the pitches has been pretty dire.
As opposed to the wondrous bores which were the 2003 and 1996 World Cup’s. The standard of cricket from the top sides has been excellent. The only thing which has been ‘dire’ is seeing England and the West Indies play, with there irreverent take on the game.

Good start for Bangladesh, keeping it pretty tight so far. Good carry in the pitch, sounds like it will flatten out a bit more as the day goes on.

Disappointed WI aren't playing Pollard, was hoping to get a decent look at him.

Can't believe this is the same team as the one I considered a leading contender at the start of the tournament.

I actually thought they were more likely to win the thing than NZ.

Great start by Bangladesh though, such an exciting group of players.

Samuels should have been gone, dropped at second slip off Syed Rasel. Great start for the Tigers.

To be fair, the bowling hasn't been anything special. Just tight, accurate line and length bowling from both Rasel and Mashrafe. The batsman have just looked clueless, defending far too much and letting an amazing 63 dot balls be bowled, no intent whatsoever. It's like watching bloody England.
