First time I've heard De Villiers speak. Couldn't tell a ****ing word of what he said. Speak English, ****.
AB's English is pretty good for a kid who grew up in the wilds of Limpopo and compared to either James Anderson or Sajid Mahmood, I know who has the most clarity and better command of the English language.

He went to Afrikaans Hoer Seunskool.. Hardly a bastion of the English Language

I would label this ODI side as massively underacheiving, rather than a rubbish ODI side.
How are you underachieving, what do you expect to achieve?

You're currently 5th in the table, have beaten everyone below you and lost to the clearly superior teams above. That's about your level you're playing at.

And yes, sorry to break it to you...but your team is weaker on paper (as well as by actual results on the field) than a number of others, despite you trying to kid yourself otherwise.

if anything you should consider yourselves fortunate that India and to a lesser extant Pakistan went out...or you may well be propping up the super eights table.

First one ever that's admitted to it!
How ironic. Can you see that "?" symbol? That's a question mark. People use the when they ask questions. People don't use it when making statements/admissions. But don't worry your little southern head about it.You'll get it eventually. ;)

South Africa deservedly into the Semis. Bar their blip against Bang , they have played good cricket on par with NZ and SL. England needed Flintoff , Vaughan to do well and unfortunately while Freddie is bowling brilliantly (one of the best at this World Cup bowling wise) his batting has gone to the Dogs.

England will really need to improve their ODI focus to be a genuine World Cup challenger in the future, IMO.

SA are now really capable of upsetting the Aussies on their day...

Sri Lanka need to make a big showing against Ireland tonight to confirm they have put their silly team selections and other rubbish from the Australia game behind.

SL batting really struggles to get past 230 against quality bowling Teams at this World Cup. IMO Atapattu has been kept out far too long. A rethink is called for with regard to SL batting order.

Time to get Atapattu in for Arnold or Dilshan. Dilshan's contribution with the bat needs to improve vastly , 20s and 30s at modest strike rates during slog overs are unfortunately not helping this team set challenging targets. Same issues with Arnold.

Sangakkara also due for a good knock, having not played a significant knock against quality opposition .(the innings against NZ should have helped him find some form- unfortunately got a bad decision against Australia as did Sanath J - both were decisions which neither Umpire would have given against an Australian batsman )

NZ at Sabina Park will be a very different proposition to the one at Grenada. Black caps will come in really firing on all cylinders given its a do-or die battle . And the conditions would suit them better given SL batsmen struggling to get runs and their dislike of pitches with assistance to seamers.

Surely, Foster has to be giving a go sooner or later. If not Davies. Nixon's actually not had a terrible WC, but I think we can safely say he ain't one for the future.

It's a stupid cliche, but we have potential, no matter what people say.

There's no reason as to why Bell, Strauss shouldn't be able to perform at ODI level.
So do Bangladesh

Those players do perform up to OD level. There's no reason that they should always get a high score and average significantly higher numbers than they do either. Again, they play to about their levels & standings on the World One day scene. Stop assuming they should be rated so highly.

They're not suited to the game and perform about right for their games and lack of power & (to use another Nasser) intent.

Went to bed just before midnight after watching Eng block away at the start and got up at 5 to see that the match was all over

Vaughan and Fletcher should be crucified for failing to learn lessons from other sides that attack Pollock early and make Smith change his one and only game plan - seriously, how dumb are those blokes?

Pollock is an accurate medium pacer that hardly moves the ball at all on these surfaces and to allow him to bowl 10 overs for 17 is a bad joke

Andrew Hall - 5/18. Wonder which bar the poms were in the night before the game to allow that to happen.
