I'd be disappointed if I got a 'U' in Physics synoptic paper and could've done better with a no show.

It's hardly better is it. N means 0/whatever, U means you at got some.

AFAIK (and to use the simple GCSE analogy), 92\100 = A*, 99\100 = A*, so there's no difference there either?

U = completely and totally useless and N = completely and totally useless, so I don't see the difference.

When i'm actually tired, like i am right now, words tend to go missing from my sentences or i type out words that are bit of a half rhyme to the word i mean. That post being a fine example.
