You know, Bangers could still win this if they had just one more wicket in hand. Oh well.
They could win it if they had most of the other batsmen at the crease instead of Bashar. With him there as their last batsman they need an absolute miracle (either that or for Johnston to keep bowling).

Seriously this is disappointing. I just don't get it! The Bangers, despite scoring a paltry 143 against England still looked for a kill and this time around they actually had the quote "WHAT IF WE LOSE" written on their faces (at least most of them did).....sad and depressing.....full credit to the Irish though.....and seriously, it is time Bangladesh made hard and bouncy pitches back home for our young uns to practice on !!!!!

All in all, Ashraful and Aftab would have made a BIG difference and Saquibul could have done a lot had he not been unluckily run out :(!!!!!

well now you probably feel how indians and pakistani and south africans felt! but it's ok, this makes the wc even better! you guys lost to a good team, just that people don't give them enough credit.

What a cracker of a contest it would be had IND and PAK had qualified....It would be IND vs PAK match....totally different and opposite
And if my personality was more gregarious when I'm drunk, I'd get loving more often. But it's not. And India and Pakistan didn't qualify, so it's pointless discussing it.

Irish fans in the stands are clearly trashed.
I saw one rather tubby fellow sobbing (presumably with joy) after the final wicket. Touching.

I didn't want to be the one to comfort him, though.

PS. I think Perm has gone to bed at last. Silly boy.
Alarm failed to wake me up for the Bangladesh innings, I wasn't impressed

Anyway, a very disappointing game for Bangladesh. They went into it favourites and didn't do much to show it, their fielding was some of the sloppiest I have seen in a while and the Irish were able to steal so many quick singles it wasn't funny. I was really impressed with how Shadhadat Hossain bowled, he looked impressive.

I've come to the conclusion from this World Cup that one team are robots, the rest are humans with off days and good days. So, on any day, one team can beat another, depending on which is having a good day or a bad one. Except of course, for the robots. They will always win. I think the ICC, instead of testing for drugs, should test for wiring and batteries.
