Foster will either be loaned out again or put on the bench. VDS is better. Although I might prefer him staying to understudy VDS and send Tomas out on loan if his transfer goes through.

SAF has already stated he'll be returning - and we need it, I think. He'll learn off VDS and he'll play Carling & FA Cup stuff, more than likely. VDS is getting old and he won't be around longer than next season. This gives the time for him to get used to OT and the defenders he'll work with the season after when VDS retires.

I'm wondering if Heinze will be given a shot in central defence, which is actually his preferred position. We could have Brown-Rio-Heinze-Evra, which is a way to keep O'Shea out of it. Having said that, 7-1 with O'Shea in defence says that it's not exactly a disaster.

What exactly does the 7 have to do with the defence?

A rare event really. The defence has performed well this season and was due an o.g soon. Hoepfully that's it for the season though.

I've heard some excuses, but "the defence was due an own goal" is up there as one of the best
