These guys are crazy. With most other teams, you'd fear a letdown where they let the guard down. Aussies just go harder because they want to prove themselves. They went through 2003 without a loss, and may do the same in 2007.

And yes, McGrath...you are God.

I wonder how much McGrath's retirement hurt Australia in the ODI arena, compared to tests that is. The guy is obviously just as good in ODIs as he was in tests.

He is irreplaceable, but the thing about Australia which is lacking in other countries is that their domestic tournament is so strong..so there is always someone who can come in and do a decent job. Indian selectors mentioned how domestic cricket is bare at the moment and lacks stars..Aussies don't have that problem because you pretty much have to be an excellent cricketer to make the domestic teams.

Their cricketers are way too prepared before they even come close to the national side...IMO it means that Aussies will always be a good side. They may not always be #1, but I doubt you'll ever see them drop below #2-#3 as long as their domestic system remains as competitive as it is now.

I think Stuart Clark will fill the acurate seamer quite nicely, otherwise they might go for Johnson
