Be interesting how United approach the Watford game in the FA Cup Semi Finals when they have bigger fish to fry in the Premiership and Champions League, and perhaps give Cristiano Ronaldo the weekend off to avoid getting injured.

Unless something else has been said and correct me wrong if I am, and although Fergie will never admit it, what are the odds he will rest some key players for the Watford game?

50/50, really. He's generally played Rooney and Ronaldo for every game, even during busy periods. However he's much more likely to rest the likes of Giggs, Neville (although obviously he doesn't have a choice on that as he's injured), Scholes etc. If we're fairly comfortable at 45-60 minutes, then he takes whatever 'big' players there are playing off. It's a slightly predictable process.

I do wonder if Fletcher will be a possibility against Milan ahead of one of Scholes or Carrick. It'll be very interesting. Fletcher has always been labelled by the fans as a second rate player who is more suited to Serie A than the Premiership, and when facing Roma he did everything right... Scholes obviously not so much. I'd rather ensure that Scholes will be available for the final (ie, not get carded in the semifinal) and have Fletcher carry on where he left off at OT when we go up against the Italians.
Personally I'd go 4-3-3 and play all 3. Just two in central midfield, and the tackling of Scholes is not good IMO against a team of Milan's intricacy in midfield. Incidentally, I've always rated Fletch in central midfield, it's when he's on the right that he becomes a bit useless.

 There have only been 9 posts combined by me and Bob since my first post of the day - and not all of those have been replying to each other, not that much really.

OTT what ever happened to him?

I knew he got sold to Ancona and then went arse up money wise and got shunted down the divisons, the last time I knew he was at Genoa when they got sent to Serie C1A.,
Signed for AC Arezzo in the transfer window.

I would be concerned if it wasn't for the fact that we won 7-1 with the same defence just a few days later. Which makes me think "blip".

VDS concerns me for how often he's palming things away, though, I have to say. Looking forward to Foster being back at OT next season.

Agree with first statement.

Second - VDS > Foster this season, overall. Foster is a real talent though.

Wasn't like you totally outplayed us though, TBH - if I were you I'd be seriously concerned at the ease with which we opened up your defence a few times.
We didn't totally outplay you, but if it wasn't for the fact that James had a bloody good game, we would have gotten more out of it.
