Ireland could be in a little strife here. No Botha to fall back on, could be sheer murder when Styris, Oram & the Mac Lads get in. 350+ on?

Lets remember that England actually competed against Australia much more than South Africa did.
Say what now?

The Eng/Aus game was dead and buried 10 overs into Australia's innings. SA were officially favourites from the bookmaker's point of view until Graeme Smith went off injured, and they were even money until Gibbs got out.

Ridiculous statement really, I reckon Australian fans felt much safer 10 overs into the second innings vs. Eng than vs. SA.

Top innings from Bell there, held it all together. KP playing well as per usual, but we can't keep relying on him. Vaughan, Strauss, Flintoff all need to make runs or we're ****ed. We can't just hope that KP, Collingwood and Bell will bail us out in these matches, because KP is bound to hit a rotten form some time.
Well said by the way. I was away yesterday but watched the Bell/KP partnership which I really enjoyed. Bell looked a transformed player and it was a real shame he gave his wicket away after playing such a good knock.
