Situation after the 32nd over; NRR included:

SA 4 points, 3 matches, -0.58
England 2 points, 3 matches, +0.02
West Indies 2 points, 3 matches, -1.18
Bangladesh 0 points, 2 matches, -1.97

This could get very exciting about that fourth spot now. Bangladesh yet to play Ireland too.
And the West Indies...

I dont agree, the previous commentator was just finding excuses for South Africa playing poorly...Croft is just saying that no matter what the circumstances, there is no excuse, and he is correct.

To use Bob Woolmer as an excuse is more offensive to be honest
The previous commentator never referred to Woolmer in reference to this game. He was talking about how hard Pollock (who reportedly considered Woolmer like a father) took the death really badly, and the way that affected his personal performances. He was referring to previous games. Not this one, where Pollock bowled a quality 10-1-25-0. Again it was not an excuse for today's performance, because the previous commentator only made reference to Pollock in the matter.

Croft is the one grossly misinterpreting the comments and by doing so, he's trivializing the death of Bob Woolmer. It must be incredibly difficult to play professional sport at this level when you lose some so close to you so suddenly and under such circumstances.
