This is frankly humiliating for South Africa and Justin Kemp has just probably ended his international career with that shot. Gibbs and Pollock need to do something out of this world to get South Africa even close.

it will take one of the great comebacks of all time to get back into this.

All down to Gibbs I think...if SA win, he will have proabably played one of the greatest innings ever
Really shouldn't count Pollock out either. A class player who puts his all into the game. Ideally I'd like to see him unbeaten with a half-century, but Bangladesh winning by a good 50+ runs.

Come on Bangladesh!

The tournament needs Bangladesh to win this. It'll just throw a massive spanner in the works! Well another one, they already threw one a few weeks ago.

Come on Bangladesh, keep going!

The super 8s were really killed off by Bangladesh and Ireland making it through. I just cant get interested in half the games because I know they will be boring dire mismatches. This in conjunction with the pathetic crowds has really ruined this WC imo.
At the risk of plankhood again...

Bangladesh at 4.50, worth putting some on Jono?
My net was being **** so I couldn't get on CW for a while. I would have said yes (haha easy to say in hindsight), but wouldn't have had the balls to put anything on it, plus I had semi-conflicting interests since Kallis is my Cricket.com.au Dream Team captain, and there's a bucket load of money in my league I wanna win there lol.

But with Kallis back in the shed, it's all Bangladesh!!!!!!!!!! :p

After that 2 wickets in 2 balls, I bet there are a few South Africans who no longer think Sakib-ul-hasan is 'cute'

An absoloutely stunning performance from the guys, Ashrafuls 87 was one of the best half-centuries at this world cup. Going to be a ball ache to get the next wicket, but I feel the required run rate is way too high. Anything above 7.5 is unrealistic. Then again, you could say that for Bangladesh beating the world number one

Colin Croft shooting down the proposed problems affecting South Africa right now. Regarding the death of Bob Woolmer:

"That happened AGES ago." - Trivializing both the situation and Bob Woolmer's life IMO.

Usually can't stand Croft's commentary, but this is the worst I've heard from him of late.

"Saying Shaun Pollock is affected by it (Woolmer's death). How can he be affected by it when it happened so long ago?"

...continuing to annoy me...

"I can say that they (SA) won't even come close (to beating Bangladesh)."

Croft is almost making me want South Africa to win this match...

I dont agree, the previous commentator was just finding excuses for South Africa playing poorly...Croft is just saying that no matter what the circumstances, there is no excuse, and he is correct.

To use Bob Woolmer as an excuse is more offensive to be honest

There really is no excuse for losing this match for South Africa. Woolmer would be the last thing on their minds out there, believe me.

Situation after the 32nd over; NRR included:

SA 4 points, 3 matches, -0.58
England 2 points, 3 matches, +0.02
West Indies 2 points, 3 matches, -1.18
Bangladesh 0 points, 2 matches, -1.97

This could get very exciting about that fourth spot now. Bangladesh yet to play Ireland too.
