Is Ross Taylor The Future?

Ross Taylor is a legend

I agree that Ross Taylor is by far one of New Zealand's best batsmen at the moment. I still find it hard to compare players from the present to the past as the game has changed quite a bit... I think he will be a brilliant test player as well.... and lets not forget, since no-one has mentioned it yet.... he is darn good in the field is well!!

Black caps to win the World Cup

In what way does he remind you of Cook?

Not having a go at you - just wondering, as I can't see many similarities at all other than them being young and batsmen.
It's no so much his cricket skills, rather their general demeanor and attitude.

how come he isn't in the team?
he is clearly much better than guys like marshan and fulton at least in one day game.

Because only very recently has he started to do anything of note in the First-Class game, unlike Fulton.

Heck, it's only since this December that those who don't take acute note of New Zealand cricket will even have heard of him.
